WELCOME We have produced this guide to keep you informed with all of the arrangements for Owners and Trainers and to give you some insight into changes that we ve made to the experience you will receive at the Investec Derby Festival. We are delighted to be able to increase the prize money for the two days to a record figure of 2.9 million, with all races being run at values no less than 40,000. TRAVELLING TO EPSOM DOWNS OWNERS & TRAINERS CAR PARK There is one car park for Owners & Trainers, Car Park 2, located on Ashley Road. From the car park you will be able to access the badge collection point. HORSEBOXES Horsebox parking is located close to the stable area. TAXIS If you plan to arrive by taxi, the drop off point is located close to car park 7 which will require a short walk round to the badge collection point. DISABLED FACILITIES There are a limited number of disabled visitor car park spaces. Please contact Beverley Frith (epsom.owner@thejockeyclub.co.uk) with your details, name, vehicle registration and horse name before 26th May to arrange one of these. These spaces will be allocated on a first come first served basis. TRAIN For those arriving by train, Epsom Station is connected by both South West and Southern Trains, with connections from London Waterloo & Victoria. Take a 10 minute taxi or bus ride from the station. During the Investec Derby Festival a shuttle bus service also operates. Alternatively, Tattenham Corner Station is approximately a half mile walk to the racecourse or Epsom Downs Station is approximately one mile walk to the racecourse. HELICOPTER FACILITIES An area on the Hill is provided for helicopter landings. This site is operated by Nick Cox, Helicopter and Aviation Services Ltd. Nick is contactable on 01373 858535. OWNERS BADGES ALLOCATION Single Ownership & Partnership - the badge entitlement is six. Investec Derby, Oaks and Coronation Cup Runners - the badge entitlement is ten. Derby Owners will be presented with a metal commemorative badge which will provide access to the Derby Suite (located in the Queen s Stand), the Owners and Trainers facility, the Parade Ring & Grandstand Enclosure. Please note that due to restrictions on space, badges will only be issued to those Owners with declared runners. Access to the Parade Ring will only be granted on presentation of the relevant badge. Trainers badges will be available to purchase. These will be priced 55 on Investec Oaks Day and 70 on Investec Derby Day. If you wish to purchase additional badges please contact Beverley Frith prior to the Investec Derby Festival. NTF, PJA, RCA, BHA AND JOCKEY CLUB BADGES NTF badges will allow racecourse access, however, Parade Ring access will only be granted to those with runners on the day. PJA members are entitled to two complimentary Grandstand badges but these do not permit access to the Owner s and Trainer s facility or the Parade Ring. All requests must be made via the PJA in advance of Investec Derby Festival days. To cater for the larger syndicates, a restricted number of Owners & RCA badges will permit access to the Grandstand Enclosure only. Jockey Club Badges will permit access to all enclosures. TRAINERS TRAINERS
TRAINERS Trainers with a runner on the day are entitled to two Owners badges upon production of a current PASS card. Please note that the badges will only be issued to whom the PASS card is registered. We acknowledge that it can be frustrating for Trainers to be stopped and asked to show their badges, particularly, when trying to access the Parade ring. However, we ask for your patience and cooperation with our stewarding arrangements. OVERSEAS TRAINERS WITH RUNNERS As with British Trainers no badges will be sent in advance. However, on production of a current Irish Trainers licence each Irish Trainer with a runner will be issued with two badges for that day. Badges will be available from the Owner s & Trainer s badge collection point. STABLING AND STABLE STAFF ACCOMMODATION All stabling and accommodation must be arranged in advance via the Stable Manager Dominic Toole on 01372 461378 or dominic.toole@thejockeyclub.co.uk STABLING Full stable security with BHA stable access control and CCTV will operate from Thursday 1st June. Applications for stables and accommodation should be made via Dominic Toole. STABLE STAFF ACCOMMODATION Trainers must state the name of All stable staff when booking accommodation for the Festival. Accommodation is limited and must be booked before 1pm the day before racing. If pre-booking is not completed and the stables are full, then it will be the trainer s responsibility to find alternative accommodation. FACILITIES VIEWING Once inside the racecourse, Owners and Trainers have access to the Owners and Trainers facility (Prince s Stand) and the dedicated viewing area on the Queen s Stand Steppings. DINING A complimentary food offer will be available in the Prince s Stand and access to this facility will require a valid Owners or Trainers badge. HOSPITALITY If you are interested in hospitality please contact the team directly on 01372 477 747. OWNERS & TRAINERS BAR The main Owners & Trainers bar is situated in the Prince s Stand, however, Owners have access to the Queen s Stand where there are public bar facilities too.
