HOME SCHOOL CLUB NEWS It has been a couple of busy months for our club. At our May meeting, each of our club members did a 5 minute presentation/demonstration on one of their 4-H projects, fulfilling their leadership requirement. We saw great presentations including one on Legos by Jacob Lamb, crocheting by Savannah Peteet, using a loom to make headbands, etc. by Julia Lamb, resizing a t-shirt by Tayler Havard, how to draw a landscape by Joseph Lamb, and juggling tricks by Gabriel Alonzo. We also honored Gabe on his recent high school graduation. We had 18 people to on our field trip to Caldwell Zoo at the end of May, and we saw a great program on Texas endangered species. As his final 4-H Council duty, Gabe attended District Leadership Lab in McKinney June 23-26 and helped to lead that camp as they elected new District 5 and State Council members for the next year. On July 4 th, Gabe will travel to Rusk to perform a juggling/gymnastics routine for a District 5 4 th of July celebration. Our club wishes Gabe and Ms. Tami well as they graduate from 4-H this year after 12 years of being a part of our club. We are very excited to welcome Ms. Lynette Pierce as our new Club Manager and look forward to all the new ideas and plans she will bring. Sincerely, Tami Alonzo
