Azure Pool Care System Test Your Water using Azure Test strips or Reagents following the suggested Schedule below, but remember that after heavy rains, or when your Swimming Pool has seen a lot of use you will may need to test and treat more often. When To Test Total Alkalinity ph Calcium Hardness Chlorine Levels When To Maintain Test Shock Algaecide See the individual containers for full product labels. ***Always read the entire label and follow the instructions for use, handling and storage *** Now, simply follow steps 1 to 4

Step 1 Balance Your Pool TEST IDEAL RANGE IF BELOW IDEAL RANGE IF ABOVE IDEAL RANGE Total Alkalinity 125-150 ppm Use Azure Alkalinity Booster Dangers: If alkalinity is too low ph will not stay in the correct range. Use Azure ph Decreaser Dangers: If alkalinity is too high, ph becomes fixed and can lead to scaling. ph 7.2-7.6 Use Azure ph Increaser Dangers: Low ph may cause corrosion of metals and eye irritation. Use Azure ph Decreaser Dangers: High ph reduces sanitizer efficiency and can lead to scale formation and cloudy water. Calcium Hardness 200-500 ppm Use Azure Calcium Hardness Increaser Dangers: Low hardness leads to corrosion of pool equipment and etching of plaster. Drain off some water and fill with fresh water Dangers: High Hardness leads to scaling and cloudy water. Stabilizer 30-150 ppm Use Azure Stabilizer and Conditioner Dangers: Sunlight causes chlorine to dissipate; adding conditioner helps slow this process. Drain off some water and fill with fresh water. Dangers: High Stabilizer levels can lead to the chlorine being less effective. Step 2 - Sanitize Your Pool TEST IDEAL RANGE IF BELOW IDEAL RANGE IF ABOVE IDEAL RANGE Free Available Chlorine 1-3 ppm Use Azure 1" or 3" Chlorinating Tablets, Skimmer Sticks or Multifunctional Chlorinating Granules Dangers: Low chlorine can allow bacteria to multiply and spread between swimmers. Water can become cloudy, algae can begin to grow. Leave pool uncovered with water circulating until Free Available Chlorine level drops below 3 ppm. Dangers: High chlorine may cause skin irritation, bleaching of clothes and hair, and bodily injury. Swimmers should not use pool until chlorine drops to ideal range.

Step 3 - Shock Treat Your Pool Follow the test schedule under the Pool Care section to determine when to test. Use Azure Quick Dissolving Shock, or Multi-functional Chlorinating Granules weekly to Shock your Swimming Pool, and at the first signs of Algae, after heavy rainfall, or when your Swimming Pool has been used a lot. Mother Nature affects the purity and clarity of your pool water. Wind and rain dump dirt, pollen and insects into your sparkling pool and swimmers introduce problems of their own - suntan lotion, make-up, dirt and perspiration. These contaminants can cause unpleasant Chlorine odors, eye irritation and cloudy water as well as creating the ideal environment for bacteria and algae to thrive. A Shock raises Chlorine levels (also known as Superchlorination) and breaks down the contaminants that cause unpleasant chlorine odors, eye irritation and cloudy water. After use of any Azure Shock product make sure that the free available chlorine is below 3 ppm (parts per million) using a test kit or reagents before re-entry.

Step 4 - Algae Treat Your Pool While maintaining your sanitizer level and shocking weekly will help prevent algae, weekly preventative treatment can make all the difference. Treat your pool once a week with cost-effective Azure Algaecide 10 or Azure Algaecide 50. You may also choose non-foaming Azure Poly- Algaecide 30 or Azure Poly-Algaecide 60. For best results, consult with your Azure pool dealer and brush areas where algae have formed before treatment, and again 24 hours later, and don't forget to vacuum afterwards. Step 5 - Specialty Products To assist in maintaining your pool throughout the season or quickly returning the clarity should problems arise.
