RYAN GETZLAF Ryan Getzlaf is a forward in the National Hockey League and team captain of the Anaheim Ducks. He helped the Canadian hockey team win gold at the 2014 and 2010 Winter Olympic games, is an NHL All-Star, and won a Stanley Cup with the Ducks in 2007. Off the ice, Ryan spends a great deal of his time giving back to the community he and his wife, Paige, take an active role in supporting CureDuchenne. CURE DUCHENNE CureDuchenne is a national nonprofit that raises awareness and funds research to find a cure for Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Duchenne is a fatal genetic disease that causes muscle deterioration. Those with Duchenne are usually diagnosed by age 5, lose their ability to walk by 12, and most don t survive their mid-20 s.
