TTC All-Star Cheerleading The All-Star Cheerleading experience is like no other. The sport instills confidence, poise under pressure, and the values of teamwork. All-Star Cheerleading teaches valuable lessons in team dynamics and depends on every individual contributing to their fullest potential 100% of the time. Athletes learn to trust in their abilities and perform it when it counts the most. At the same time, many athletes are building friendships that are sure to last a lifetime. This is a serious and extremely competitive sport that can lead to many incredible opportunities. College scholarships, national and international recognition, experience of being part of a team, and of course becoming a better athlete are just a few of the many positive outcomes that stem from participation in All-Star Cheerleading. Becoming a TTC Cheerleader All interested athletes will be required to participate in our Athlete Skill Evaluation on Saturday, May 4th from 12-2 pm. (Cost=$20 at the door) current TTC competitive member are free. Ages 6-18 are welcome to participate. This is a stress free session in which athletes will demonstrate their abilities in the areas of jumps, tumbling, motions, and flying (if applicable). Teams will be posted the following day and will be selected based on age, skill level and division that best suits our goals at that time. * Please note, any athlete with an outstanding balance will NOT be able to participate in Team Evaluations until balance is paid IN FULL or arrangements are made with TTC directly. $$ Financial Obligations $$ The monthly competitive tuition is $145 per month. This pays for 2 team practices and a tumbling class (back hand spring only and jump only classes are free for competitive members). Athletes are also responsible for their uniform/shoes (approx. $250) and entry fees which vary depending on which company we are competing ($50-$110 per comp). All athletes will be required to put down a $350 deposit, at the beginning of the season, to go towards competition entry fees. Other financial responsibilities that take place throughout the season are: Choreography fee ($100), Music fee ($25), USASF membership ($25), Practice clothes (TBD), and TTC Registration fee ($25, new members only). An athlete may be asked to attend extra tumbling, jump, or stunt classes throughout the season. If they are asked to attend extra classes to strengthen a certain skill, NO extra fee will be charged. It will all fall under your $145 monthly tuition. All tuition payments should be made on the 1 st of each month. If you make your tuition payment after the 10 th you WILL be charged a $10 late fee. You can receive a 10% discount off your tuition if you pay for all 9 months up front ($1,174). Attendance Policy All-Star cheerleading is a team sport. When one athlete is missing it affects the entire squad. Therefore, TTC will be enforcing a strict attendance policy throughout the competitive season (Aug-Apr). A total of three (3) excused absences and (2) unexcused absence will be allowed throughout the year. See below of examples of excused and unexcused absences. EXCUSED UNEXCUSED Funerals Homework/Studying Graded School Functions Punishment ( grounded ) Contagious Illness Birthday Parties School Cheer Family Functions (church, dinner, reunions etc ) Minor Illness (cough, aches, pains) All absences will acquire an approved Absence Request Form. All-Star practices are two (2) hours long and will be held twice a week. Your child must attend at least 1 tumbling class per week outside of team practice. During competition season, extra practices are imminent; however, notice will be given enough in advance so that you can make arrangements to be there. Any athlete missing a practice one week prior to a competition will be subject to removal from the team or will be placed on alternate status and choreographed out of the routine.
Late Policy The ENTIRE team will be required to stay over their regular scheduled practice times until a full practice is completed with ALL team members present. Ex. An athlete that arrives at 7:30 to a 7:00 practice will cause the team to stay an extra 30 minutes. Competitions All athletes will be required to purchase uniform, shoes, and practice clothes. Upon competition season, practices team shirts will be assigned on designated practice days, and they will be required to be worn. No exceptions. TTC may attend up to 7 competitions throughout the season. We will do our best to search for competitions that are close to home; however, some minor traveling will be imminent as many competitions are in the Dallas/North Dallas area. We will also attend one out of town competition; however, we will make sure this competition is located within a drivable distance. Competition Etiquette: All athletes will be given a specific time to meet on competition day. Please DO NOT be late. We need this time, before warm-ups begin, in order to prep for competition. All athletes MUST show up with full hair and makeup DONE upon arrival. SR athletes are required to wear skirt and Tumble Club shirt to competition. They will be allowed to put on uniform top before warm-ups. Youth and Junior athletes must show up to competition with full uniform on. NO pajama pants, curlers in hair, or shoes other than cheer shoes will be permitted at competition. During the colder months, black sweat pants can be worn under skirt. Parents, family, friends/boyfriends/girlfriends of athletes will not be permitted to socialize with athletes during time prior to warm-ups. Say your goodbyes upon arrival and let your entire focus be on the team. Parents, please find each other and sit together in the stands make as much noise as possible and lets be the loudest fans in the stands! After performance, ALL athletes are required to stay for awards and be in full uniform by the time awards begin.
