Coaches: Coaches are to use www.athletic.net for entries. Entry deadline is 8:00 am on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 General Information: 1. 3:15 - Coaches Meeting (in the school building, Room 148) 3:45 - Field Events begin 4:00 - Running Events begin 2. Rubberized asphalt track 8 lanes. ¼ pyramid spikes only. Only chalk may be used to mark the track. 3. Shot and discus areas are concrete use flats. Long, triple, high jump, and pole vault are spike areas. 4. Entries: Enter up to three athletes in each event, plus 2 wild cards but a max of 4 in any one event and one relay team per event. WIAA participation limits will apply. 5. Boys will triple jump first and girls will long jump first. We have separate pits for each. Open pit policy. Four total jumps in the long and triple jump. No finals. 6. Boys will throw the discus first and girls will throw the shot put first. There will be three trials in the shot. Top eight advance to the finals. Discus will have 4 throws with no finals. 7. Girls will high jump first. Starting height for the girls and boys will be based on entries and determined at the coaches meeting.
8. Boys will pole vault first. Starting height will be determined based on entries. Please inform your vaulters of the general WIAA rule regarding time to complete a jump. 9. Scoring for each event will be 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1, including relays. 10. Medals will be awarded to the top six finishers in each event. Awards will be available in an envelope for each coach following the track meet. 11. A championship trophy will be awarded to the top Girls and top Boys team. 12. I would like to ask the girls coach from Bay Port and the boys coaches from Appleton West and Milwaukee Vincent to be the games committee. 13. Team buses should enter the stadium from Appleblossom Lane and park in a new parking lot behind the stadium. General spectators should park in Lot B and proceed through Door 6 to the stadium. 14. No one except competing athletes and meet personnel will be allowed in restricted areas. These include: The infield portion of the track. The start and finish areas. The roped off areas for field events. Please establish camps in, under, or north of the bleachers and track. 15. A concession stand will be available. ***Coaches: I have also enclosed a scratch sheet. If you have any scratches and replacements, please use this sheet and turn it in before the coaches meeting.
