Run My City Rules Paris 2016 Edition Article 1 Definition Run My City is a new running experience in Paris. It offers an opportunity to (re)discover Paris following a new route through the 9 th and 18 th arrondissements. It includes two routes which are open to everyone (9k and 15k). Run My City is an individual, untimed event. It will take place on Sunday 16 th October in Paris. This first edition is organised by Amaury Sport Organisation (ASO) under the authority of the Fédération Française d Athlétisme (FFA). These rules apply to the 2016 edition of Run My City in Paris. Article 2 Route Run My City includes two distances: - A 9k route which starts and finishes in the 9 th arrondissement and which takes place almost entirely within the 9 th arrondissement. The route includes one feeding station during the race and one at the finish. - A 15k route which starts and finishes in the 9 th arrondissement. It follows the 9k route and also includes an additional section through the 18 th arrondissement. The route includes two feeding stations during the race and one at the finish. The details about the route will gradually be published on the race s website (www.run My City.com) and on its social networks. Article 3 Participation conditions The race is open to runners born in 2000 and before. Runners who are born after 16 th October 1998, i.e. those who are minors on the day of the race, must present a parental consent form. It is expressly stated that the runners take part in Run My City under their own, exclusive responsibility.

Participation in the race is conditional upon: -the presentation of a consent form (available on the website), for those who have not signed up for the timed option - for those who have signed up for the timed option, the presentation of a medical certificate (or copy), dated within a year of the race, stating that they have no contra-indications for participating in athlétisme en competition ( competitive athletics ) or course à pied en compétition ( competitive running ), (example available on the website). For runners who have to present a medical certificate, the presentation of the following licences is accepted in lieu of a medical certificate: - an Athlé Compétition, Athlé Entreprise, Athlé Running or a Pass' Running licence, issued by the FFA, which is valid on the day of the race, - or an FSCF, FSGT, UFOLEP licence which is valid on the day of the race and which must include the wording non contre-indication à la pratique de l athlétisme en competition ( no contra-indications for participating in competitive athletics ) or non contre-indication de la pratique de la course à pied en competition ( no contraindications for participating in competitive running ). - an FFTri licence which is valid on the day of the race. Foreign participants must provide a medical certificate stating that they have no contraindications for participating in athlétisme en competition ( competitive athletics ) or course à pied en compétition ( competitive running ), even if they hold a competitive licence issued by an IAAF affiliated federation. The certificate must be dated and signed and must allow the doctor to be identified, regardless of whether the latter works in France or not. If the doctor is foreign, the medical certificate must be written in either French, English, Spanish, German, Italian or Portuguese. The medical certificate or the photocopy of the licence must be handed over when you collect your race number and at no other time. No medical certificates that are sent beforehand, by post or by email will be accepted. In order to participate in Run My City, competitors must accept these rules unconditionally and in their entirety. Article 4 Registration procedures and price Registrations for the race are only possible using the online registration form accessible at the following URL: www.asochallenges.com. Each person must indicate his or her last name, first name, date of birth and email address on this form.

In order to be timed, when you register you must subscribe to the timed option, which costs 3. Article 5 Registration Registration is personal, firm and definitive, and registration fees cannot be refunded for any reason whatsoever. Registrations cannot be transferred under any circumstances. Anyone who gives his race number to a third party will be held responsible in the event of an accident caused by or involving the latter during the race. The organisation declines all responsibility should such an accident occur. The race number must be completely visible throughout the race. Article 6 Collection of race numbers Race numbers can be collected upon presentation of your notification, a piece of ID and a medical certificate (where required). The race number distribution time and place will be communicated at a later date. No race numbers will be distributed on the day of the race. The assigning of a race number to a runner is firm and definitive. No race numbers will be sent by post. Article 7 Safety on the route The routes include sections on roads which are closed to traffic, sections which use part of the road, stairs and metro corridors. Some roads will be crossed at pedestrian crossings, following the French Highway Code. It is essential to follow the signage which will be put in place, the French Highway Code, and instructions given by the organisers and the police.

Security on the route is ensured by the Préfecture de Police of Paris and medical services are provided by an approved civilian security association. These staff may decide that competitors must leave the race on medical grounds. Bicycles, wheeled and/or motorised vehicles are strictly forbidden on the route. Article 8 Timing systems Run My City is not a timed race. However, for those who choose to opt for it, it is possible to be timed over the challenge zones. There are two challenge zones in the 9k race and four in the 15k race. These timed zones will lead to specific rankings as well as a ranking based on the cumulative time over these various challenge zones. An official prize-giving ceremony will take place for the first three men and three women in this cumulative scratch ranking. It is not possible to be timed over the entire length of the race. The electronic detection system has been selected according to strict reliability criteria. Despite tests conducted by the manufacturers, there remain a very low percentage of cases of non-detection. Due to the lack of information resulting from this non-detection, the organiser may be unable to show the official or real time for the competitor concerned in the ranking. The organiser cannot be held responsible for this. Article 9 Fight against doping Run My City is a race organised under the authority of the F.F.A., and as a result, antidoping tests may be set up. Participants in Run My City undertake to strictly respect the ban on doping as well as the provisions concerning anti-doping tests, arising from the laws and regulations in force, in particular Articles L.230-1 et seq. of the French Code du Sport (Sports Law). Article 10 - Insurance Civil liability In accordance with current legislation, the organiser has taken out insurance covering the financial consequences of its civil liability, that of its officials and that of all the participants in Run My City. As for the civil liability of the participants themselves, the afore-mentioned insurance policy will only cover accidents caused by participants during the sporting event. This policy can apply in addition to or in lieu of other insurance policies that participants might take out. A copy of the insurance policy is available to all participants upon request. Personal accident

All Run My City participants, whether or not they have licences issued by a sports federation, may take out insurance when they register for the race or, at the latest, when they collect their race numbers. This policy will pay out a sum in the event of physical injury (death or permanent disability) as a result of an accident which has occurred on the race route. Compensation, according to the damages, will be paid if the insured person has an accident while participating in the race. This insurance is optional but strongly recommended. It can be taken out in addition to or instead of any similar insurance cover and, in particular, any cover provided by a sports licence. The information notice and application form are available on the event's website, in the registrations thumbnail. Material Damage The organiser will not be held responsible for damage (theft, breakage, loss, etc.) to participants personal belongings, not even those left in its care. Participants may not, therefore, take action against the organiser for any damage caused to their equipment. Taking out insurance against such risks is the responsibility of the participant. Article 11 Modification / Annulation of the race The organisation reserves the right to modify at any time the route and/or the position of the refreshment stations depending upon the authorisations given, the weather conditions, and/or in order to ensure the safety of the participants. The organisation reserves the right to delay the start time, to stop or cancel the event if security or safety cannot be guaranteed. Article 12 Image Rights By participating in the 2016 edition of Run My City, the participant gives his express permission for the organising company, its delegates and its successors to use and reproduce, in any medium and by any means, now and in the future, with no compensation of any kind, his name, voice, image, and, more generally, his athletic performance in the 2016 edition of Run My City, in any form, in any existing or future medium, in any format, for public communication throughout the world, for any use including advertising and/or commercial purposes, and for the entire duration of the protection granted by current copyright laws and regulations, judicial and/or arbitral decisions issued in any country, and existing or future international conventions, including those that may result in the extension of this duration. Participants grant their full and irrevocable permission, to the organiser, its beneficiaries, and its successors, for the purposes of conducting advertising, promotional or sales campaigns to: 1) Make any changes, additions or deletions which it judges necessary to use his or her image under the conditions defined above;

2) Include or combine his or her image with any signatures, catch phrases, slogans, legends, brands, distinctive signs, legal information, visuals and, generally speaking, anything of any kind which the organiser uses, particularly to illustrate communications material in which they are used. The participant guarantees that he is not bound by an exclusive contract relating to the use of his image and/or his name and/or his voice. The organiser, its beneficiaries and its successors are expressly forbidden from using a participant s name, voice or image in any format of a pornographic, racist or xenophobic nature, and more generally are forbidden from any use that is detrimental to the participant s dignity. Article 13 Data Protection A.S.O. will respect the confidentiality of personal information and data provided by the user and will handle them in accordance with the French Data Protection Act of 6 th January 1978. Information provided by users will be stored and used by A.S.O. to process their orders, personalise communication with them, and provide them with information and/or offers from A.S.O. Challenges and/or from A.S.O., and for those who expressed their agreement when creating their account, to receive information and offers from A.S.O. s partners. It may be necessary for A.S.O. to securely transfer certain data, including personal data, to third parties in order to carry out tasks relevant to processing orders, organising the delivery of goods and the provision of services, preventing fraud and, more generally, any other criminal activity, and for certain customer service actions. Moreover, A.S.O. may be required to share this data in response to an injunction by the legal or regulatory authorities. In accordance with the provisions laid out by French Act no.78-17 of 6 th January 1978, modified by French Act no. 2004-801 of 6 th August 2004, on information technology, databases and civil liberties, the user has the right to access, rectify and delete data concerning himself, free of charge. The User can exercise these rights at all times, by sending a request by email to the following address: Run My City@aso.fr or by writing to:

The Internet user s data is stored either by A.S.O. or by the subcontractor(s) it selects specifically for the fulfilment of its obligations. Data is stored in accordance with the aforementioned Data Protection Act for a duration determined by the purpose of the data processing in question. Our processing of the data we collect has been declared to the CNIL (French Data Protection Agency). Article 14 - Drones Participants are informed that: on the day of the race, remote controlled drones may be used for the purposes of media coverage; runners may find themselves throughout all or part of the event, within 30 metres of these drones; Article 15 Respecting the environment In order to respect the environment and the natural surroundings in which the event takes place, it is strictly forbidden to leave litter (paper, plastic wrappers) on the route. Bins will be provided at all refreshment stations and in collection areas which will be installed and indicated on different points of the route. Competitors must make use of them when disposing of waste. Participants must hold onto their litter and wrappers and wait until they reach the places set up by the organisation to dispose of them.

The race management reserves the right to exclude competitors from the race who deliberately dispose of their waste elsewhere than in these specific areas. Article 16 Newsletters By registering for Run My City the participant is automatically subscribed to the race s newsletters and must remain so until the race takes place. Article 17 Acceptance of the Rules Participation in Run My City implies each competitor's express agreement with the rules filed with Maître Astrid Desagneaux, a scrutineer in Paris 8 th arrondissement, situated at 4 Rue Quentin Bauchat. Article 18 Applicable Law and Disputes Any complaints must be made in writing, in French or in English, mentioning the full name of the competitor and his or her race number. They should be addressed to the headquarters of the organising company within thirty days of the announcement of the results. No claims will be accepted beyond this time. A.S.O. Run My City 253 quai de la Bataille de Stalingrad 92137 Issy les Moulineaux, France No written or telephone complaints about the interpretation of these rules will be answered. A.S.O reserves the right, if the circumstances so require, to shorten or cancel Run My City. It cannot be held responsible for this. These rules were originally drafted in French, which is considered as the official language. They are subject to French law. Any disputes likely to result from its interpretation or execution will be subject to the exclusive competency of the jurisdiction of the Court of Appeal in Versailles, France.
