The aim is t preserve and perpetuate nt nly this type f equitatin but als the cultural traditins f each cuntry and their hrses. The fur funder cuntries f Wrking Equitatin are Prtugal, Spain, France, and Italy. Each cmpetitin is cmprised f 3 r 4 sectins. The final result is determined by the ttaling the scre frm all three sectins. The fur sectins are: Dressage, Ease f Handling (with bstacles) and Speed Obstacles with and ptinal Cattle Trial fr Teams. Organizers Shw Organizers must have adequate facilities fr cmpetitin fr the safety f bth hrse and rider. It is the respnsibility f all fficials, cmpetitrs, judges, stewards, shw managers, etc. invlved in a cmpetitin t knw and fllw these rules. It is the respnsibility f the shw management and any fficials, etc.t enfrce the rules befre, during, and after any sanctined cmpetitin. The lunging area must be separate frm the riding warm-up area. The judge has the right t ask the cmpetitr t drp the bit ut f the hrse's muth fr a bit check at the cnclusin f their test. The cmpetitr has the right t ask that a grm with a halter and lead be present fr the bit check. There is a timer required fr the speed phase nly. The timer starts when the hrse s nse crsses the start line and ends when the nse crsses the finish line. The rider must leave the ring at a walk. All times and time penalties will be nted n the rider's Speed scre sheet. Dressage Times are set prir t the shw. Wrking Equitatin Handbk 2017 Lyalty Character Sprtsmanship The Secretary will prcess the Judge's marks, arrange and pst the rder f g fr all phases f the cmpetitin and give cmpetitrs the final placings based n their scres and times. It is the respnsibility f the Secretary t pst results (Fr Individuals, Classes and Divisins) and handle appeals. Tests will be made available t the cmpetitrs after all scring and placings have been made fr that divisin and/r class. The results must be psted as sn as pssible after each Phase. Order f G in all phases is the respnsibility f the Shw Secretary. The first phase will be the Dressage Phase, fllwed by the Ease f Handling Phase.
