Picture Day Details Where: Elation Dance Center When: Tuesday, June 20th & Wednesday, June 21st (Refer to detailed schedule for exact class times. We are on break from regular classes this week, so it will not conflict.) What you need: All of your dancer s costumes, accessories, tights and Hair should be worn as it is for the show (Please refer to Costume/Hair/Tights/ Instructions form included in the recital packet - will be given during Visitor s Week May 1st-4th) Make up is up to your discretion for pictures, but we recommend some light make up as the lighting can wash out the face. You need a form for every class/dance you are purchasing a picture for. You may write only one check, but your dancer will NEED a form for each dance. (Forms will be distributed in class & extras will be available on Picture day) Examples: Elementary I Dancers have a and a Tap costume they will need two (2) forms if you want to order a picture of both OR They are in, Jazz and Finale and you want all three (3) you will need three (3) separate forms. Extras: Hair supplies (bobby pins, hairnets, hair ties, hairspray/gel) Make up Safety pins Sewing Kit Tights Other Important Notes: You MUST arrive 10 minutes ahead of your scheduled time and be ready to go. We will NOT go early if everyone is not there, but we will NOT wait for you if you are late. It s a tight schedule and we have to keep things moving. If you have a picture toward the end of the night, please arrive 20 minutes early, we tend to run 20-30 minutes early toward the end of the night. Fathers/Grandfathers/Brothers etc. are more than welcome to bring their dancers, but please be aware that many areas of the studio become dressing areas. Follow the signs to the appropriate areas. We have staff on hand if you need any assistance with your dancer, just ask! Costume alterations, if any are needed, should be done by picture day if possible. Picture day is a great time to ensure that everything is set for the show. We will go over all costume details during observation week (May 1st-4th). If you need help, please let us know.

Recital Details Shows are Saturday, June 24th at 6 p.m. and Sunday, June 25th at 1 p.m. at the Oconomowoc Arts Center (Each show runs approximately 3 hours) 1. BE ON TIME! Dancers need to arrive early!!! Dressing rooms open at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Dancers should arrive with their hair and make up done on Saturday and Sunday. Please reference the rehearsal schedule for your child s specific day/times. All dancers should be backstage and ready to go on Saturday at 5:15 p.m. and on Sunday by 12:15 p.m.. Backstage helpers should follow the same schedule. 2. Costume Changes. If your child is unable to change their own costume, you must come backstage to help her between dances. People will be allowed in and out of the auditorium between dances only. Please refer to the show order to plan accordingly. 3. Absolutely no video recording or photography is allowed during the recital. DVDs may be ordered through Elation. 4. Your account must be paid in full before your child is allowed to participate in the recital. 5. No food or drink in the theater/dressing rooms. Dancers may bring a water bottle and nothing else into the dressing room. There will be tables set up in the hallway outside the dressing areas in which dancers can eat. Please bring a non-messy snack (pretzels, soda crackers, trail mix, granola bars) 6. Clear nail polish ONLY, no underwear, no gum! 7. Label all of your costumes, accessories, tights and with your name and telephone number. All dancers must have correct and tights before they are allowed to perform. 8. Pick up trash and keep the dressing rooms neat and clean. Absolutely NO FOOD in the dressing areas!!!! Pick Up & Drop Off If you would like your student to watch the show with you while not performing you must purchase a ticket. Otherwise we will have activities and a television broadcasting the show for the younger dancers if you would like them to remain backstage. Any parents taking their child, but returning them for the Finale needs to have them backstage by the song Sweet Dreams A parent needs to sign each dancer in and out at the dressing room door. If a ticket has been purchased for the dancer, he or she must be dressed in street clothes or have a robe over the top of their costume and be signed out before going into the auditorium. What to Bring: All of your costumes, accessories, tights and, make-up, hair elastics (should match hair color), hair nets, bobby pins, safety pins, needle and thread, band aids and a water bottle. Make sure you have elastic on your ballet. Do NOT bring valuables into the dressing room, including ipods, personal electronic games, cameras, etc. You may bring board games, cards, and coloring books. Dressing Room Assignments - These will be announced as we get closer to the show. Please keep in mind that dressing rooms are based on the amount of pieces per dancer and then on age. Nude leotards are highly recommended for older dancers as you will not have privacy in any of the dressing rooms. Boys will be placed in a separate dressing room. Costume/Hair/Tights/ Instructions It is highly recommended and for some costumes required that all female dancers wear a nude leo. Changing backstage is much easier with a nude leo as well as providing an extra underlayer for lighter fabrics. We sell these in the store, please plan ahead.
