GENERAL INFORMATION Reminders of Bulletins N 1 et N 2 2.1. Conditions of Participation 2.1.1. Only school teams can enter this Championship. All players must attend the same school. Are eligible to participate the youngsters born in 1990, 1991 or 1992. 2.1.2. Each participating team must be officially nominated either by the National School Sport Federation or by the Organisation in charge of School Sport or by the Ministry of Education/Sport of the country. 2.13. The number of participating teams is limited to 48: 24 girls teams and 24 boys teams. 2.14. A team refusing to play against another team will be excluded from the Championship and its results cancelled. This exclusion will lead the concerned team to leave immediately. 2.2. Composition of the Delegation 2.2.1. Each team will consist of 12 players and a maximum of 3 adults: 1 teacher, 1 trainer, 1 referee. 2.2.2. A delegation with only one team, will have to appoint a referee of international level (FIBA) or national one (GRC 10.14); if this delegation arrives without a referee, 864 euros fine will have to be paid. 2

2.2.3. A delegation with two teams (1 girls team and 1 boys team), will have to appoint one referee (international or national level - GRC 10.14) AND a young referee, under 21 years old and of national level. If a delegation arrives without a referee of the first group, a fine of 864 euros will have to be paid; if this delegation doesn t have a referee under 21 years old with a national level, it is allowed to appoint only one referee without being fined ; in this case, the French National School Sport Union will provide young officials to the organisers, necessary for the good course of this championship. 2.2.4. Each country will nominate a head of delegation who will be responsible for the team(s) and will be the sole person authorized to speak with the Organising Committee. In case a country has only one team, the delegation of this country may consist of 16 persons maximum. If 2 teams (boys and girls) take part, the delegation may consist of 31 persons maximum. 3. REGISTRATION AND INFORMATION 3.1. All the forms enclosed must be returned to the Organising Committee before 28th February 2007. 3.2. All headings must be filled in: Name of the school, address, telephone number, fax, mail, name of the team s leader, number of players and number of accompanying adults and referees date of birth. 3.3. Please mention, day and time of your arrival and departure at Pau HST train station or at the airport, as well as your flight numbers. 3.4. All details and information must be written in Latin letters (same as the passport). The form has to be signed by the headmaster as well as the Head of the National School Sport. It is advised to enclose a photograph of the team for the Championship journal. 3.5. At the arrival of a Delegation and after being checked by the Control Commission, each participant will receive an accreditation card with a photograph which will allow him/her to access competitions, events and catering sites. Information asked on the return form is essential and compulsory. You have to send a photograph with the name of each member of the delegation by e- mail (jpg format) if possible and by post before 28th February. 4. ACCOMODATION AND CATERING 4.1. Heads of delegations will be accommodated with their team(s) in a single room either in hotels or boarding schools. 4.2. Referees and Members of the ISF Technical Commission will be accommodated in the «Continental» hotel, situated in Pau city centre. 4.3. Meals will be taken in the «World Championship Village» or in sport centres, according to the competition time-table. 3

4.4. Exchange of foreign currencies can be done in the banks in Pau but it is strongly advised to plan it before. 5. TRANSPORT 5.1. Transport from home to Pau airport or HST train station and return is the responsibility of each participating country. The OC will be in charge of the transport from Pau International Airport or HST train station to your accommodations and vice-versa for the departure. 5.2. Transport provided by the Organisation will take you daily to the various sites (competition centres, cultural events, catering site and accommodation). 6. PARTICIPATION FEES 6.1. Participation costs, fixed by the ISF, amount to 40, per person and per night. Total amount per person is 280 minus the deposit already paid. 6.2. As soon as the enclosed form will be received, Delegations will be informed of their outstanding balance. The Head of the Delegation will pay the rest of the amount due at his/her arrival in Pau. 6.3. A contribution of 20 to the ISF (ISF agreement) per member of delegation will be asked. This amount will have to be paid to the Organising Committee before the beginning of the Championship (article ISF.R.C. 10. 11) 6.4. Delegations who will pay the deposit or the outstanding balance by cheque will have to include commission fees in their payment. Credit cards won t be accepted. 6.5. The cost of each extra person (beyond the authorised number which is 16 persons for one team and 31 for two) will be 103. 6.6. If a delegation wishes to arrive before 8th April or leaves after 15th April, it will have to pay an extra 103 per night and per person. 6.7. When the distance between Pau and the Capital of a participating country exceeds 5000 km, the Delegation has the possibility to arrive one day earlier or leave one day later at the normal rate of 40. 6.8. Delegations wishing to arrive earlier must inform the Organisation Committee before 28 th February 2007. 7. INSURANCE Each delegation will have to effect a medical insurance for its members. First Aid Services will be provided in every sport centre. 8. WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP S RULES 8.1. The I.S.F World Championship is organised jointly by the I.S.F and the French Basketball Federation according to the I.S.F and F.I.B.A regulations. 4

8.2. Present rules have been approved by the Organising Committee. The OC has the right to modify or complete these rules. These modifications will be effective from the day of their publication by the I.S.F Technical Commission. 8.3. Mixed teams are forbidden. 8.4. All players must be amateurs. 8.5. Matches will be played according to the current rules of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA). 8.6. For the entire competition, matches will last 4 x 8 minutes, with as many 3 minutes extratime as needed to decide between two teams, with 4 individual faults and 3 team faults for one quarter (8mns). Except for the girls and boys finals, matches will last 4 x 10 minutes with as many 5 minutes extra-time as needed, with 5 individual faults and 4 team faults. 8.7. Teams and players commit themselves to play against any other teams and players, according to the programs decided by the Organisation and to participate in cultural and social events. 8.8. The 12 players only, registered on the team s list handed in at the accreditation, are authorised to play from the beginning to the end of the competitions. Each player will wear the same number given at the accreditation during the entire championship. 8.9. Complaints: any dispute will have to be submitted in writing (in one of the 3 ISF official languages) to the President of the Appeal Jury in the hour following after the end of the match. A deposit of 100 will have to be paid but will be returned if the dispute has been funded. 8.10. Any player, teacher or member of the delegation who should be disqualified during a match will have to face the I.S.F Appeal Commission. 8.11. Matches will be played with a Molten ball according to the FIBA regulations, size 6 for girls and 7 for boys. 8.12. Matches will be arbitrated by young national level referees under the age of 21 and by International or National adult referees. Finals for 1st ranking will be arbitrated by 3 referees. 8.13. For the 1st qualifying stage, the 24 registered teams will be divided in 8 pools of 3 teams for each category and will play 2 matches each, on Monday. 8.14. For the 2 nd qualifying stage, teams will play Tuesday and Thursday mornings, teams ranked 1st and 2 nd of each pool will be mixed together in 4 pools of 4. Results of the 1 st qualifying stage will be taken into account. Teams ranked 3 rd of their pool will meet together in 2 pools of 4. 8.15. At the end of the 2 nd qualifying stage, direct disqualifications, according to a pre-set list. 5

8.16. Every team will have to bring 2 sets of jersey. One pale set and one dark. Washing machine for the jerseys only, will be available in the middle of the week. 8.17. You will find enclosed the Championship Program. 8.18. According to the I.S.F regulations, during the Championship you will have the following commissions: Appeal Jury, Disciplinary Commission, and Control Commission. 9. AWARDS and DIPLOMAS 9.1. Each player will receive a diploma of participation. 9.2. In each category, teams ranked first, second or third will be rewarded with medals. 9.3. The Fair-Play Trophy will be awarded to one delegation, by the Disciplinary Commission after consultation of the Delegations, ISF Technical Commission and Organising Committee. 10. ACTIVITIES 10.1. During the week, various activities will be proposed by the Organising Committee. Friendly challenges will be suggested to participants. 10.2. On Wednesday 11th April, after dinner, each delegation will introduce its own country to the others. Tables and stands will be available either to exhibit pictures, taste food specialities, or to present traditional dances or anything else. This presentation will not last more than 3 minutes. Tables and podiums will have to be previously booked with the enclosed form and returned before 28 th February 2007 (form page XX). 10.3. Replies about the «Meeting of the Nations» on Wednesday 11th April should be given in the enclosed form. 10.4. Television Channel ALEGRIA will transmit pictures of meetings and matches of the World Championship that week. You will find this channel on Satellite, channel 182 Channel Satellite. 10.5. Next to Wednesday morning s guided tour and shopping in Pau, teams who won t have any matches either in the morning or in the afternoon will be allowed to go to town with their officials, using their own transport. The swimming-pool next to the Village site will be available for users. 10.6. Wednesday evening before the «Meeting of the Nations», regional products such as wine, honey, cheese, traditional specialities will be available either to taste or to buy. 6

11. INFORMATION REGARDING THE STAY 11.1. Place The city of PAU, Pyrénées Atlantiques Departement, is situated in the South-West of France, 780 kilometres away from PARIS. Temperature at this time of the year varies between 10 to 15 C. 12. DELEGATIONS OBLIGATIONS 12.1. Each delegation must be insured against material damage and personal liability. 12.2. Each participant must present passport or valid ID card with a photo to the Control Commission. 12.3. Will be ranked only, teams which have taken part in the opening and closing ceremonies, medal presentations as well as in the cultural program. 12.4. Presence of every participant during the whole duration of the event is compulsory. 12.5. Each participant must fully take part in the entire social and cultural program. 13. DOPING 13.1. Anti-doping control (use of illegal substances) is possible anytime during the competition, according to the actual French law. 13.2. In case of a control, an adult may accompany the player. 13.3. When a competitor is on medication, he/she must provide proof and inform the organisers immediately on his/her arrival. 8
