SPED Science did a Virtual Field Trip on the Eastern Indian Ocean on board the JOIDES Resolution (Via Zoom!). We learned how taking samples of the deep ocean floor tells us about Earthquakes and why the 2004 Earthquake caused such a damaging and life taking tsunami in Eastern Asia. We got to tour the ship, speak with Geologists, Paleontologists and Chemists, and have our questions answered. English is creating a video, animation, poem, or fictional story about Using THINK (Ask yourself is it True, Helpful, Inspiring, Necessary, or Kind before doing, saying, typing, texting, or posting your thoughts).
