By the end of the session, you will be able to create a feast for family and friends! They ve got nothing to hit but the heights! Attention 8-14 year-old budding actors! Fifteen weeks of acting class will be spent rehearsing selected scenes from How to Eat Like a Child by Delia Ephron, Free to Be You and Me by Marlo Thomas, and other carefully selected monologues, in preparation for your theatrical showcase with two final PERFORMANCES on May 23rd in the new Lauri Ann West Community Center Community Room. This class will teach you the basics of baton twirling and address beginning marching skills. You ll learn beginning twirls like Table Tops (or horizontals), Figure 8 s, basic rolls, flourishes and thumb tosses, as well as the correct foundation of feet and body work. It is only through a good foundation in these techniques that you can become a fine twirler. Bring your own metal, balanced baton that fits from arm pit to tips of fingers when arm is stretched out in front. In this class you will be exposed to a variety of instruments and musical styles.
