Spain) in the vicinity of the 150 metres lost its position when tightened onto ASTEROID CLUSTER by EMERALD LANE, which laid out. EMERALD LANE (J. Huxtable) hung out rounding the home turn and continued to lay out under pressure in the straight. In the vicinity of the 150 metres laid out onto BRELY. Rider report that the mare travelled well in the early and middle stages of the event; however, in the vicinity of the 400 metres commenced lay out as it lost ground and changed stride on a number of occasions to the finish. Stojakovic) raced greenly throughout the event. HEZA GUNN (D. Caboche) lost its position shortly after the start when taken across the heels of BENGARA by ARTFUL IGGY. ARTFUL IGGY (M. DECOMPRESSION (Z. Spain) approaching the 100 metres became disappointed when attempting a run between MAPPINGA MELODY and LAST DIP, and had to be eased. In being eased the mare overreacted, got its head up and lost ground. RACE 5 : ECOCLEAN PORT LINCOLN BENCHMARK 80 HCP - 1210 metres DESTONY HAWK (A. Doyle) made the turn in the vicinity of the 700 metres awkwardly and rolled out onto the heels of HARD AT IT, resulting in DESTONY HAWK having to be steadied and losing ground. ASH ROAD (B. Claridge) rider reported that the gelding felt sore behind on pulling up. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities. THE HARD WAY (A. Jordsjo) stood flat footed and was slow to begin. RACE 6 : PORT LINCOLN TIMES BENCHMARK 64 HCP - 1390 metres BOSSA NOVA (NZ) (J. Holder) - lost its off fore plate in its race day stall requiring farrier attention. Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and found to be lame in the off fore.
