Haensel (Veterinary Surgeon) TRACK: Good 4 WEATHER: Overcast RAIL: True RIDER CHANGES: Race Horse Rider Replaced By Reason 6 VOODOO BLACK MAGIC B. Claridge D. Caboche Doubly engaged. RACE 1 : AVIS PORT LINCOLN / SABOIS MAIDEN PLATE - 1000 metres BULK BILLING (B. Claridge) rider accidentally dropped his whip approaching the 100 metres and was reprimanded under AR137(a) for carelessness. Rider reported that he had become concerned with the gelding s action over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities. MAKO COVE (S. Cahill) hung out throughout the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities. O'WELL (K. Bishop) inconvenienced on jumping away when the inside the barrier partition bounced back. ON DUTY (B. Griffiths) laid out rounding the home turn and became awkwardly placed for a short distance on the heels of NITRO MAGIC. RACE 2 : BUBBA BAJ'S HAPPY 50TH BIRTHDAY BASH / SABOIS MAIDEN PLATE - 1390 metres ASTEROID CLUSTER (D. Caboche) inclined to lay in under pressure in the straight. BRELY (Z. Spain) in the vicinity of the 150 metres lost its position when tightened onto ASTEROID CLUSTER by EMERALD LANE, which laid out. EMERALD LANE (J. Huxtable) hung out rounding the home turn and continued to lay out under pressure in the straight. In the vicinity of the 150 metres laid out onto BRELY. Rider report that the mare travelled well in the early and middle stages of the event; however, in the vicinity of the 400 metres commenced lay out as it lost ground and changed stride on a number of occasions to the finish. A postrace veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities. RACE 3 : LINCOLN SAND SUPPLIES N T & D A DICKSON / SABOIS 3YO MAIDEN PLATE - 1210 metres DANOXIE (L. Stojakovic) raced greenly throughout the event. HEZA GUNN (D. Caboche) lost its position shortly after the start when taken across the heels of BENGARA by ARTFUL IGGY. ARTFUL IGGY (M. Poon) shortly after the start lost its positon when tightened onto HEZA GUNN by TORNADO BLUE. HALLS BAY (J. Toeroek) lost its position shortly after the start when KOODA STAR shifted out slightly. RACE 3 : LINCOLN SAND SUPPLIES N T & D A DICKSON / SABOIS 3YO MAIDEN PLATE - 1210 metres (cont d) KOODA STAR (K. Bishop) shifted out slightly shortly after the start. TORNADO BLUE (B. Claridge) shortly after the start shifted in and away from CAPTAIN OASIS onto ARTFUL IGGY. Rider reported that in his opinion the filly felt sore in its near foreleg over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities. RACE 4: PORT LINCOLN GOURMET MEATS CLASS ONE HCP - 1210 metres The start of this race was delayed approximately 2 minutes. CELEBRITY TYCOON (J. Huxtable) over the concluding 100 metres raced in restricted room to the inside of MOLTO VIVACE. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a small laceration to the off fore pastern. LAST DIP (M. Poon) slow to begin. DR HENLEIGH (A. Doyle) took charge of the rider en route to the barrier and did a lap of the course. Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination on arrival at the barriers and was passed fit to race. DECOMPRESSION (Z. Spain) approaching the 100 metres became disappointed when attempting a run between MAPPINGA MELODY and LAST DIP, and had to be eased. In being eased the mare overreacted, got its head up and lost ground. RACE 5 : ECOCLEAN PORT LINCOLN BENCHMARK 80 HCP - 1210 metres DESTONY HAWK (A. Doyle) made the turn in the vicinity of the 700 metres awkwardly and rolled out onto the heels of HARD AT IT, resulting in DESTONY HAWK having to be steadied and losing ground. ASH ROAD (B. Claridge) rider reported that the gelding felt sore behind on pulling up. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities. THE HARD WAY (A. Jordsjo) stood flat footed and was slow to begin. RACE 6 : PORT LINCOLN TIMES BENCHMARK 64 HCP - 1390 metres BOSSA NOVA (NZ) (J. Holder) - lost its off fore plate in its race day stall requiring farrier attention. Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and found to be lame in the off fore. Acting on this advice Stewards withdrew BOSSA NOVA at 5.08 pm. RACE 7 : LEADER DISTRIBUTORS BENCHMARK 60 HCP - 1000 metres MAGNUSIFICENT (M. Poon) a post-race veterinary examination revealed no visibilities. HEAVENS FLIGHT (D. Thornton) laid out rounding the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed abrasions to the off hind. First aid administered. CARDINAL MISSION (D. Caboche) race wide without cover throughout the event. HEISENBERG (A. Jordsjo) slow to begin. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the near foreleg. Trainer, Ms S. Williams was advised a Veterinary Certificate of Fitness for the gelding was required prior to accepting for a future race or trial. ROCK OUT (J. Toeroek) Trainer, Ms J. Stoetzer, was fined $50 under AR59A for failing to produce Thoroughbred Identification Card. As the horse was able to be identified from records held by the Stewards ROCK OUT was permitted to start. RACE 8 : MITTYS BENCHMARK 60 HCP - 1210 metres POINT DRUMMOND (S. Cahill) a post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities. KOODA DUCHESS (K. Bishop) held up from in the vicinity of the 600 metres until inside the 200 metres. PERUVIAN POWER (M. Poon) a post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities. SCENIC MINT (L. Stojakovic) a post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities. DAZZLING LILLY (J. Toeroek) laid out rounding the home turn. IN HIS DREAMS (T. Zanker) had difficulty obtaining clear ground in the straight. DESIGNER EDITION (D. Thornton) slow to begin. Trainer, Mr D. Carrison, was fined $50 under AR59A for failing to produce Thoroughbred Identification Card. As the horse was able to be identified from records held by the Stewards DESIGNER EDITION was permitted to start. CHLOBOROUGH (B. Griffiths) slow to begin. DIVADEBEER (Z. Spain) hung out rounding the home turn. Searle notified Stewards the gelding had bled from the off side nostril on return to his stable. Trainer was advised the gelding was required to gallop 1000 metres before the Stewards prior to accepting for a future trial or race in accordance with AR53A(7). Mr G.
