PART B MARCH & STOMP 1-4 Alt. toe taps x 4 (shoulder rolls same arm as leg) R 5-12 Same leg taps x 4 (arms side, up, side, up) R 13-16 Up tap x 1 R (changes legs) - Teach 4 marches on top, 8 marches down and 1 up tap - Layer the 8 marches to 3 stomps and 2 marches to the back - Layer the 3 stomps to one stomp and a box step - Layer the 2 marches with a spin. - The 4 marches and the 1 up tap remain the same throughout TRACK 2 STUDIO 45 / DO YOUR THING PART A TAP TAP 1-2 Tap corner / corner R 3-4 Knee lift R 5-8 Box step off the side on floor L 9-16 Spider across the step L - Teach 3 knee repeater with 2 basic leads - Layer the tap, tap, knee lift over the three knee repeater - Layer to tap, knee lift and 4 marches on the floor (keep the basics) - Layer a box step over the 4 marches on the floor and 6 marches on top for the 2 basic leads - Layer the 6 marches to a spider across the top PART B 3 KICKS 1-8 Step up + 3 alternating kicks on the step R 9-10 Step down, down L 11-14 Reverse V-step cha cha L 15-16 Step down, down L - Teach 8 marches up and 8 marches down - Layer first 8 marches to step up, up + 3 alternating kicks on top + step down, down 1
- Layer the kicks to go front, back, front and the marches on the floor to be a slow V-step up and step down quick - Layer a cha cha rhythm over the slow V-step and option is then to reverse it on the step PART C HOP OVER 1-8 Reverse hop knee over, thrust, forward hop knee back R 9-16 Mamabo cha cha on the floor x 2 L - Teach 3 knee repeater with 2 basic leads - Layer the thrust over the middle knee - Add direction reverse hop over on the first knee, hold for the thrust and return for the third knee - Layer the 2 basic leads to 2 mambo cha cha on the floor TRACK 3 NASTY GIRL PART A NASTY TWIST 1-7 Double knee swivel R 8-16 Double knee and double twist and hold L - Teach 7 knee repeater - Layer to double knee, 2 twists, double knee change sides - Layer to double knee, 1 twist, double knee other side, double twist hold and repeat side (alternating) PART B JUMP SQUAT 1-8 3 Pulse jump squat R and march LR R 9-16 Repeat above to L 17-32 Repeat 3 pulse squat - 3 knee repeater alternating side to side - Preview the jump on the first knee and the squats off the side step back on the floor and pause - Repeat to other side 1-16 7 pulse jump squat R and march LR hold repeat to L - Pre-cue the extra pulses after the 3 pulse combo PART C- VERSE 1-16 3 Basic R + 1 Knee lift R 17-32 Repeat above L -This is easy to cue and quick to teach, you can layer on direction or intensity to the basics 2
TRACK 4 REALLY SAYING SOMETHING / SHOW ME LOVE / WHERE LOVE LIVES PART A KNEE HEEL 1-16 1 knee, 1 heel, 1 knee, 1 heel + reverse basic R 17-32 Repeat combination L - Start with 5 knee repeater and 1 basic - Layer on the knees to the side of the step keep the basic facing front - Introduce the heel dig on the 2 nd and 4 th knee and add a little bounce - Preview the reverse turn on the basic PART B ON TOP 1-8 Wide march on top with double hip sway R 9-10 March down R 11-16 2 knee repeater R - March on top for 8 counts, step down, 2 knee repeater - Take the marches wide and add arms on the first 4 counts; R arm up, L arm up, R arm down, L arm down, hold counts 5-8. Step down, 2 knee repeater - Add double hips side to side on counts 5-8 (create your own style) PART C SUMO 1-8 4 alt knees straddling the step R 9-10 Step back behind the step R 11-12 Slow heel R 13-16 Jump mambo L/R - Start with 7 knee repeater - - Change the first 4 knees to alternating and keep the last 3 knees as repeaters - Keep the 4 alternating knees and step back into a 2 knee repeater - Introduce the straddle over the step with the 4 alternating knees - Keep the straddle and step back, change the 2 knee repeater to one heel hold and 1 knee lift - Layer on the jump mambo over the last knee lift PART D GALLOP 1-2 Double push R 3-5 3 marches half turn backwards L/R/L 6-7 Double push R 8-10 3 marches half turn backwards L/R/L 11-16 Double curl R - Start with 7 knee repeater - Preview 1 knee, 3 marches on the floor, 1 knee, 3 marches on the floor and double curl - Layer on the double push on each knee lift - Add direction by travelling the push along the step and adding a half turn with the marches on the floor so this travels around the step 3
TRACK 5 GYPSY WOMAN PART A MAMBO CHA CHA 1-4 Mambo cha cha R 5-8 Chasse around the step L 9-12 Basic over the top L 13-16 V step L - Start with mambo cha cha on the floor R and L - Reduce to 1 mambo and 3 cha chas and 2 basics - Preview the cha chas around the step with the basic over the top and finish with the basic facing front - Layer on the V step on the last basic (option to make a reverse turn) PART B CHA CHA on TOP 1-16 Cha Cha up, cha cha down 3 ½ times and march down R - Teach a 7 knee repeater - Layer the rhythm on top and on the floor PART C POWER LUNGE 1-32 Alt Power Lunges on Step TRACK 6 BLACK BETTY PART A1 JUMP 1-12 Jump squat to the side x 3 R/L/R 13-16 Reverse V-step L 17-32 Repeat other side - Teach 3 alternating knee lifts and 1 basic lead - Layer to 3 jump squats to the side and the basic lead becomes a reverse V-step PART A2 JUMP & MAMBO 1-16 As for A1 but do 3 mambos to the side (no V-step) R - Cue straight into this move by telling them we re going to stay at the side next time PART B1 OVER THE TOP RHYTHM 1-12 Step up, cha cha down x 3 R 5-12 Over the top basic lead L 4
- Teach 3 alternating mambo cha cha on the step and a basic to change sides - Layer in the direction side facing step up cha cha x 3 using the basic to walk over the top to the back - Add the arms single arms on the first two and double arms on the third mambo cha cha PART B2 MAMBO CHA CHA 1-32 Mambo cha cha travelling on the floor x 8 R/L - Teach these on the step first and then progress them onto the floor. Make them big to really get the heart rate up TRACK 7 GIVE IT UP FOR LOVE / THRILLER PART A THRILLER 1-4 Slow V-step R 5-8 Box step off the end R 9-12 Stomp walk to the corner + step knee on the floor R 13-16 Spin back to behind the step L - Teach 2 basics and a 3 knee repeater - Layer the slow V-step over the 2 basics and keep the knee repeater - Layer the slow V-step to slow V-step up and 4 marches down - Layer the 4 marches down to a box step off the side - Layer the 3 knee repeater to 1 stomp and a 2 knee repeater - Layer the above to 1 stomp, 1 knee and 4 marches on the floor - Layer travel in 1 stomp walk to the diagonal with a knee lift and 4 walks back - Add the slow V-step + box step + stomp travel PART B ZOMBIE TAP TAP 1-4 Tap, tap + cha cha behind R 5-8 Mambo rock forward and back L 9-12 Pivot turn L 13-16 Mambo rock forward and back L - Teach 1 knee lift and 3 basic leads - Layer the 1 knee lift to 2 taps and a cha cha behind (changes legs).
