"AVENUE for Traffic Safety 3/3 the NESTs Referal Centres for Road Safety NESTs: Networks & Education for Safety in Traffic They represent the heart of interaction with citizens, authorities and communities by: Raising public awareness for road safety actions and campaigns Promoting responsible behaviour for the general public and opinion leaders, as well as volunteerism for road safety Educating citizens to embrace courtesy on the road and pre-act for their safety Focusing on vulnerable road users (children, pedestrians, cyclists, powered twowheeler riders, elderly, novice drivers etc) Providing a comprehensive Traffic Safety Educational tool, for local communities to clone and host on a permanent basis www.ioas.gr
