Grming Fresh snw and high winds have ensured the grmers have had plenty f wrk t d every week this last mnth. One week Sustained 30-40 MPH winds created sme f highest, lngest and hardest drifts encuntered in several years and it tk a cuple weeks grming befre trails were back in their nrmal manicured cnditin. Additinally the Pisten Bully 200 experienced a planetary gear failure requiring it t be twed apprximately 15 miles back t the shp at Freddie s Radhuse t be replaced. All grming was dne using the new Pisten Bully 400 while the 200 was being repaired. The last few days have been abve freezing and suth facing slpes are lsing snw fast. We have heard reprts f a snw bridge washing ut ver a creek n the 5000 Rad. Cautin shuld be exercised when appraching all creeks. Hpefully weather will cl ff and we can get several mre weeks f grming and snw machine riding in this seasn. This time f year Mther Nature determines hw much grming can be dne as much as anything. Temperatures abve 30 degrees typically stps all grming as the snw just clumps up and large snw balls are left in the trail as they rll ut f the drag.
