What You Need To Know Recital Ticket Sales Always arrive on-time. Make sure you have all your costumes, shoes, accessories, & belongings after every event. Clearly label everything. All lost & found items will be donated June 7th. EDS is not responsible for any lost or stolen items. Hair & make-up should be complete before arriving to picture day, dress rehearsals, and recitals. Make-up must be dark enough to be seen under the bright light. Neutral eyeshadow, blush, red lipstick, black eyeliner, mascara & foundation should be worn. NO jewelry, nail polish or underwear on Photo Days, Dress Rehearsals or Recitals. Underwear will show through under the lights. Smart items to have backstage: safety pins, hairspray, baby wipes, extra tights, bobby pins/ hair pins, water, non-messy peanut free snacks. Costumes are Irreplaceable. Recital Merchandise Recital t-shirts are pre-order. Order yours today! Recital bows are for sale. American Girl Recital Ts are for sale Floral arrangements will be available for purchase. Reserved seating tickets will be sold online beginning Thursday, April 26th at 11:00am. https://20368.recitalticketing.com $19 Theater Seating $16 Convention Chair Seating $25 At The Door (cash or credit only, based on availability) Online ticket sales will be available until May 18th at 2pm. Tickets are subject to a $1.75 surcharge per ticket. Please do not skip seating when choosing your seat locations. Handicapped/wheelchair seating is available. Please contact EDS front desk BEFORE tickets go on sale. Tickets are non-refundable & non-exchangeable. Everyone occupying a seat must have a ticket. Lap children must be under 2 years of age & do not require a ticket. Backstage Parent Helpers DO NOT require a ticket. Dressing Room & Backstage Access Dressing rooms will open 30 minutes prior to showtime. ONLY DANCERS, PARENT HELPERS, & STAFF ARE PERMITTED BACKSTAGE & IN DRESSING ROOMS DURING SHOWS. All helpers are required to wear an official wristband at all times. Men are not permitted backstage or in the dressing room hallways at any time. Backstage Parent Helpers The amazing Backstage Parent Helpers are why EDS Recitals are a such a success each year! Responsibilities: *Supervise dressing rooms *Get dancers to/from the stage *You do not need a recital ticket for the show you volunteer for *Watch your dancer perform from backstage *Male security guards needed in front lobby Each class requires parent helpers. Dancers supply their own brush, hair elastics, bobby pins, hair pins, etc. http://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c094aa5a72ea4f58-recital What Do Dancers Do Backstage? *Many dancers bring games, books, blankets, non-messy activities and DVD players & kidfriendly movies. *All drinks must be clear and snacks must be non-messy and PEANUT-FREE. *Parent Helpers may want to organize what their class is bringing so everyone can share activities, etc. Remember costumes are irreplaceable! Keep clean by wearing an old button-up shirt over the top of your costume in the dressing room. We ask that you do not touch the school/teacher s belonging in the classrooms and remember we are responsible for all clean-up. The Finale Bow Dancers are invited back on the stage for the finale bow. Dancers are not allowed to be picked-up off the stage or in the hallway. Once all dancers are back in their classrooms, ONE female adult may pick their dancer up. Elite Dance Studio 3
Elite Dance Studio Always Dancin 2018 Dress Rehearsal Information Tuesday, May 15th & Wednesday, May 16th at Laurel High School. Each class is assigned a specific day & time for the mandatory rehearsal. The dress rehearsal schedule IS NOT the Recital Schedule. Arrive in full costume including hair and make-up for Dress Rehearsal. Only One parent should accompany their dancer(s) to Dress Rehearsal. Dancers must be dressed for their first scheduled dance. (Order will be posted May 1st) Check all costumes, tights, shoes and accessories before arriving to dress rehearsal. Upon arrival, find and sit in the row labeled for your class in the theater. In Multiple classes? Arrive in 1st scheduled costume & sit with that class. One dressing room will be available to change. After changing, return to the auditorium and sit with your next class. Keep all your belongings in the auditorium with you. Make sure you have everything. EDS is not responsible for lost items. EDS Staff will escort dancers when it is their time to rehearse. Staff will only get dancers from the designated row(s). Be sure to sit in the correct place. Parents will remain in the auditorium. Photography & Videography is allowed during Dress Rehearsal ONLY Photography and Videotaping is NOT allowed during Recital Performances. Thank you for respecting the safety of our dancers & the comfort of audience members. Once your Dress Rehearsal is finished Dancers may be excused once their last class has rehearsed. You are welcome to stay and watch the other classes perform- it is the dancers only opportunity to watch!
