GOTR NOVA Impact Girls on the Run of NOVA supports girls in developing the confidence and character they need to become strong, healthy women using a unique, research-based after school curriculum which creatively integrates running.
Event Overview Loved the music, encouragement and thought put into the course. Great for a first time runner! It was the most amazing experience ever and I cannot wait for next season. The Girls on the Run 5k is the culminating event of the program; defining accomplishment for thousands of local girls. More than just a race, it is a celebration of a 10-week journey towards more joyful, healthy, and confident lives and an important step in a lifetime of healthy habits for strong, confident young women. The 5k is held specifically Girls on the Run participants and their families. Teams from across the region come together to complete this non-competitive 5k event alongside their Volunteer Coaches, families, and friends. Great lessons for my daughter and a great confidence booster. Spring 2018 Season, 5ks will be held: Saturday, May 19th in Woodbridge, VA Sunday, May 20th in Ballston, VA Great learning and community building event for young girls and those that support them!
