General advice: Avoid contact with the skin, eyes and clothing. Remove contaminated clothing. If poisoning occurs, contact a doctor or Poisons Information Centre. Phone 13 11 26. Show container, label and/or safety data sheet to the doctor. If inhaled: Keep patient calm, remove to fresh air. Seek medical attention. On skin contact: After contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of water and soap. If irritation develops, seek medical attention. On contact with eyes: Immediately wash affected eyes for at least 15 minutes under running water with eyelids held open, consult an eye specialist. On ingestion: Rinse mouth immediately and then drink plenty of water. Seek medical attention. Never induce vomiting or give anything by mouth if the patient is unconscious or having convulsions. Note to physician: Treatment: Symptomatic treatment (decontamination, vital functions). No known specific antidote. This product belongs to the pyrrole group of chemicals. 5. Fire-Fighting Measures Suitable extinguishing media: Water spray, carbon dioxide, foam. Specific hazards: The following substances can be released in a fire: carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, hydrogen chloride, nitrogen oxides. Special protective equipment in the event of fire: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and chemical protective clothing. Further information: In case of fire and/or explosion do not breathe fumes. Keep containers cool by spraying with water if exposed to fire. Collect contaminated extinguishing water separately and do not allow to reach sewage or effluent systems. Dispose of fire debris and contaminated extinguishing water in accordance with official regulations. 6. Accidental Release Measures Personal precautions: Use personal protective clothing. Avoid contact with the skin, eyes and clothing. Remove contaminated clothes, undergarments and shoes immediately. Environmental precautions: Do not discharge into the subsoil/soil. Methods for cleaning-up or taking-up: Wipe up spills with paper towels or cloth and dispose in accordance with regulations. Collect waste in suitable containers, which can be labelled and sealed. Clean contaminated floors and objects thoroughly with water and detergents, observing environmental regulations. 7. Handling and Storage Handling No special measures necessary if stored and handled correctly. Ensure thorough ventilation of stores and work areas. When using, do not eat, drink or smoke. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. DO NOT inhale spray mist. Hands and/or face should be washed before breaks and at the end of the shift. DANGEROUS TO FISH. Cover or remove bird cages or fish tanks during spraying. DO NOT contaminate water courses, ponds, wetlands, reserves or parks with product or used containers. Do not spray pet food, water bowls and containers. Protection against fire and explosion: No special precautions necessary. The product is not combustible or explosive. Storage: Store in the closed, original container in a cool, well-ventilated area. DO NOT store for prolonged periods in direct sunlight. DO NOT store in low temperatures. The product can crystallise if stored below 0 C. Keep away from heat. If stored above 40 C, changes in the properties of the product may occur. Protect against moisture. Protect from direct sunlight. 8. Exposure Controls and Personal Protection Exposure limit values No workplace exposure standard is applicable for this product. Respiratory protection: Wear a half-face piece respirator when opening the container and preparing the spray. Hand protection: Elbow-length chemical resistant gloves, e.g. nitrile rubber (0.4 mm), chloroprene rubber (0.5 mm), butyl rubber (0.7 mm) or similar. Eye protection: Required when there is a risk of eye contact, e.g. safety glasses with side-shields. Body protection: Cotton overalls buttoned to the neck and wrist (or equivalent clothing) and a washable hat. General safety and hygiene measures: Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. Avoid contact with the skin, eyes and clothing. Wearing of closed work clothing (e.g. cotton overalls) is recommended. Remove immediately all contaminated clothing. Store work clothing separately. Keep away from food, drink and animal feeding stuffs. After use and before eating, drinking or smoking, wash hands, arms and face thoroughly with soap and water.
