Aquatic Facilities Aquatic and Community Centre Pools The Aquatic and Community Centre has two swimming pools. The Recreation Pool has a beach area for toddlers to play with fun water games, areas for lap swimming and aquasizes, a slide and a ramp for swimmers with disabilities. The Competition Pool is 10-lane 25 metre pool with electronic scoring capabilities offering the latest advancements in competitive pool technologies. There is also a large grassy area that provides plenty of space for sunbathing and recreational activities. It is located behind the Aquatic and Community Centre. Aquatic Programs Swim Team The Côte Saint-Luc summer swim team competes against other pools of the North Shore Aquatics Association. The team welcomes swimmers of all ages, provided they can swim a 25-metre lap and are comfotable in deep water. 8-week session. Mondays to Fridays. Practices offered at the indoor pool and swim meets offered at the outdoor pool Swim Team June 22 August 14 5pm 6pm $75 (R) $100 (NR) ** Competitions are outdoors on Wednesdays evenings and a few Saturday mornings** Masters Team The Masters Team is for swimmers ages 18 and older who want to improve their swimming strokes, skills, or general fitness. 8-week session. Open to individuals 18 years and older who want to improve their physical fitness, endurance and performance. Three swims, one group bike ride and one group run are offered each week, supervised by experienced coaches. No previous triathlon experience required. Must be comfortable swimming in deep water. Possibility of access to Tri-O- Lacs summer training venues. Runs from June 23 to September 5. Aquatic Programs Aquafitness Aquafitness is a comprehensive water-based program that incorporates light impact exercises and music to develop and improve your cardiovascular capacity and condition your muscles. All programs last 8 weeks and all classes are one hour long. IN=indoor pool OUT=outdoor pool Aqua-Training Deep water training for cardiovascular endurance and muscle toning. Class incorporates deep water aquafitness, aqua jogging and lap training. Monday 7pm IN Hendrica June 22 Aqua-Arthritis Aquatic physical conditioning for people with joint problems. The emphasis is on stretching and muscle toning to improve and retain a good range of motion. Wednesday 12pm IN Hildy June 24 Friday 12pm IN Hildy June 26 Aqua-Cycle Similar to spinning but in the water, aqua-cycle will give you a cardiovascular workout and condition your muscles.
