22 nd ATLANTIC GAMES PAYS DE LA LOIRE 2018 GENERAL NOTICE OF RACE Decembery,1st 2018 1. GENERAL The Atlantic Watersports Committee and the Organizing Committee of the Atlantic Games 2018 warmly invite the regions and countries of the European Atlantic Area to participate in the XX Atlantic Watersports Games 2014. The International Committee of the Atlantic Watersports Games reserves the right to host other regions and countries. The Atlantic Games 2018 will take place in the Pays de la Loire from August 26th to 31th, 2018 the following sports will be represented during the Atlantic Games 2018,:Rowing (Olympic and Coastal), Kayak ( Canoe Sprint, Kayak Polo, Va'a ), Finswimming, Open Water Swimming, Surfing, Surf Life Saving, Sailing under the supervision of Federations following federation and institutions: FF Aviron, FF Canoë-Kayak, FF Natation FF Etudes et des Sports Sous Marins, FF Surf, FF Sauvetage et Secourisme, FF Voile. The Competition sites will be: Porcé Beach: Swimming with Fins and Swimming in Open Water; Sailing, Pirogue and Sea Rowing. Joalland Wood Pond: Kayak Polo, Kayak Online Race, Olympic Rowing The Courance Beach: Sports Rescue Opening ceremony and parade Saint Nazaire Closing ceremony Opening Ceremony and Parade Saint- Nazaire Closing Ceremony 2. ORGANISING AUTHORITY The Atlantic Watersports Games are organisez by the Comité Régional Olympique et Sportif des Pays de la Loire, with the joint effort of: Ligue d Aviron des Pays de la Loire Comité Régional de Canoë-Kayak, Comité Interrégional Bretagne Pays de la Loire d Etudes et de Sports Sous Marins, Comité Régional de Natation des Pays de la Loire Ligue de Surf des Pays de la Loire Ligue de Sauvetage et Secourisme des Pays de la Loire Ligue de Voile des Pays de la Loire 1
3. RULES 3.1 The competition will be governed by the racing Rules of the following International Federations: International Sailing Federation (ISAF) International Canoe Federation (ICF) International Rowing Federation (FISA) World Underwater Federation (CMAS) European Surfing Federation (ESF) Fédération Internationale de Natation (FINA) International Life Saving Federation (ILS) And by: The competition rules of the Atlantic Watersports Committee General Notice of Race of the Atlantic Games 2018 The Notice of Race for each sport and the competition Instructions for each discipline 3.2 Publicity Competitors may be required to display the advertising of sponsors, supporters and organizers of the Games on the hulls and sails of boats, which will be provided by the organizers. 3.3 Filming, Broadcasting In the strict context of the needs of the organization, the competitors may be: Photographed Filmed for a DVD and videos Interviewed by the press Images may be published, and competitors may be named in the press as well as on the Atlantic Games webpage and social networks. The documents may be used by the Atlantic Committee. 4. SPORT AND CLASSES See Appendix 5. SUPPLIES EQUIPMENT Competitors may be penalized for the misuse or destruction of the equipment lent by the organization in the sports for which the equipment is lent, which may lead to disqualification, payment of compensation and / or withdrawal of privilege. use of the equipment. 6. ELIGIBILITY 6.1 Participating teams The participation of athletes is done within the framework of teams that represent either a Country, a Region or a City of the Atlantic Arc. The Atlantic Arc comprises the following countries: Ireland, United Kingdom, France, Spain, Portugal. These teams are set up by the national, regional or local sports authorities of these countries, regions or cities. The participation of teams representing other regions or countries is possible. In this case, a formal request must be sent to the Atlantic Committee. 6.2 Membership in a Club and Licenses Each competitor must be a member of a Club located in the territory or city that their team represents. Each competitor must be a member of a Sports Federation consistent with his competitive practice and with the territory or city that his team represents. Each competitor must have an individual sporting license issued by his Federation. In the case of a Federation that does not issue a license, it must have a "civil liability" insurance as provided by its Federation. The Atlantic Committee will resolve any claim or dispute relating to the determination of the national or regional authority that a competitor represents. 6.3 Flag of the participating teams Each team is required to bring to the venues their national or regional flag, in approximately size 1.5 x 2.5m, and a CD/MP3 with the national or regional anthem. 7. ENTRIES 7.1 Pre-registration of Teams The heads of national, regional or local sports authorities will have to communicate before 1 st March 2018 by pre-registration with the Organizing Committee: The final number of sports in which their teams will participate The number of athletes that their teams will have. THE PRE-REGISTRATION FORM FOR THE ASSOCIATED TEAMS BELOW MUST BE COMPLETELY FILLED: https://goo.gl/forms/vsejmau0f96tyqhv2 7.2 Registration of Athletes and Teams Registrations must be made from 1 March 2018, on the Atlantic Committee's web page www.atlanticgames.eu (contact@atlanticgames.eu), by the participating national, regional or local sport authorities, before 1 June 2018, with the payment of registration (40.00 per competitor). All registrations made after June 1st and August 1st, 2018 will be worth 60.00 per registered athlete. Entries will be closed on August 1, 2018 at 24:00 UTC. 3
Any unpaid or unconfirmed entry at the close of registration confirmation on August 27th at 5:00 pm will be canceled. A competitor taking part in several sports will be obliged to pay as many entries as sports he wants to participate. A competitor taking part in several disciplines of the same sport will only pay one entry. Payment will be made on the official web site of the International Committee: www.atlanticgames.eu. 7.3 Obligations of national, regional or local sports authorities Participating national or local authorities have to: Select the teams and designate the leaders Gather information from competitors: licenses and certificates of insurance. Send competitor information, registration forms and regulations to the International Committee. Collect parental permissions (available on www.atlanticgames.eu) and send them to the International Committee. Organize and finance transportation to the competition city. Fund the accommodation and catering of its teams. 7.4 Late entries The Atlantic Committee reserves the right to accept late registrations after August 1, 2018. 7.5 Confirmation of the registration The registration of each competitor must be confirmed on August 26 from 10:00 to 18:30 and on August 27 from 10:00 to 17:00, by the team leaders at the Atlantic Games General Secretariat. The following documents should be presented : Sports license (countries or regions). Certificate of Civil Liability Insurance (country or region without a federal license). Parental authorization (for underage athletes - model available on the website www.atlanticgames.eu). Authorization to use an image 8. SAFETY All established safety norms must be respected, generally speaking, and for each different sport. 9. ACCOMODATION AND CATERING 9.1 Housing plan The Organizing Committee will propose accommodation and a catering service, from the dinner of August 26 to the lunch of August 31, 2018 (5 nights and breakfasts, 5 lunches and 5 dinners). The total cost of full board per person for the hotel stay will be 250 euros. Outdoor hotel solutions may be considered on a case by case basis. 4

SUPPLY OF WATERSPORTS EQUIPEMENTS 10.1 Boat Rental It will be required the payment of a rental in the sports disciplines for which the nautical supports will be provided during all the duration of ATLANTIC GAMES 2018. Class Cruiser J80: 500 per crew It will also be possible to rent other materials according to the disciplines: Contact us 10.2 Damage deposit for the rental of nautical equipment The participating teams will have to supply during the confirmation of registration damage deposit of 500 to cover the possible damages and the losses which they could provoke to the supplied or rented nautical equipment. The deposit will be the limit of responsibility for each incident; should a deduction be made from the deposit, the competitor concerned will have to restore the initial value to maintain his eligibility as participant. 11. From 10.00 to 17.00: reception of delegations, confirmation of registrations (General Secretariat) 11h00: Sport Team Leaders Meetings by Sport Allocation of boats, tonnage checks Home on the competition sites and free practice 18:00 opening ceremony Tuesday, August 28, Wednesday, August 29, Thursday, August 30: 9:00 am to 7:00 pm Competitions on sites with schedules adapted to sports 19.00: Meet Team Leaders sport by sport Animation during the day and in the evening (program to be specified) Friday, August 31: Half-day reserve for competitions 14:00, proclamation of the results on each of the competition sites 16:00 Closing Ceremony Departure of the delegations. 12. SCORING The rankings in each sport and discipline will be validated by the participation of at least three teams. The classification system for each discipline will be established in the sailing instructions. The ranking system of the Countries or Regions will be the system of the Atlantic WaterSports Committee (Count of the number of gold medals obtained by each Country or Region in the disciplines) 13. PARTICULAR INSTRUCTIONS The particular instructions will be available for all competitors at registration confirmation. 14. INTERNATIONAL JURY Where possible, in all the disciplines competing, an international jury will be appointed by the Organization Committee with the agreement of the International Committee. 15. DRUG TESTING Drug testing may take place during the competition. 16. MEASUREMENT Measurement checks may be carried out by the race committees at any time on any boat or board to ensure compliance with the rules. 17. LIABILITY Participants in these Games do so under their sole responsibility. neither the Organizing Committee, nor the Atlantic Committee, nor any of the persons or organizations involved in the organization of the event can be held responsible for any injury, damage, loss of life or property caused during the Games. Each participant is responsible for his participation or not in an event. 6
The Organizing Committee may require the payment of damages caused by the improper use of the boating facilities and the official accommodation. He may expel a participant from the competition for misbehavior or bad behavior, regardless of the actions of the respective Jury. 18. TROPHIES The following trophies will be distributed: Individual trophies in the top three of each discipline (if there is a minimum of three participating teams in each discipline). Sports Team Trophies to the first three teams of each sport (subject to the participation of a minimum of three teams in the sport concerned). Trophies of the Delegations to the first three teams in all sports (subject to the participation of a minimum of three teams). 19.
