MINUTES OF THE GENERAL MEETING OF BATHURST LIGHT CAR CLUB HELD ON WEDNESDAY 27 MAY 2015, COMMENCING AT 7.37 PM ATTENDANCE: As per attendance book APOLOGIES: Geoff West, Donna Sims, Matt Windsor, Ron Moore, Phil Burgett, Dean Knowlsey, Aden Hadley, Hellen Mulholland, Doug Moore, Jo Moore, Trevor Seaman, Dave Robinson, John Payne CONFIRMATION OF THE MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON 29 MARCH 2015 MOVED: Nathan Stevenson SECONDED: Rob Flood MATTERS ARISING FROM MINUTES There was no matters arising CORRESPONDENCE Correspondence detailed by S Sims for the secretary due to absence. Accepted as read TREASURERS REPORT: Accepted as read. MOVED: Gwyn Mulholland SECONDED: Wayne Bowden QUARRY REPORT John Windsor reported on another successful event and asked if the committee knew of the numbers expected from Hills District Car Club for their event at our quarry, Mick Tuckey stated that the committee was waiting on numbers from Hills District. Gwyn Mulholland commented that he would be at the Khanacross to be held at Hampton and he would try to gain numbers while he was there. The quarry report was accepted as presented GENERAL BUSINESS: Joe Chapman and Dave Catt queried where the motorkhana trophy for the juniors was, Scott Sims advised he knew where it was and was trying to get the trophy back for the next motorkhana. John Windsor queried the rule changes for Khanacross and asked for clarification. Joe Chapman also queried the way the ban on competitors under 14 years of age was handled. Mick Tuckey apologised on behalf of the club for any inconvenience or angst caused to everyone involved. Scott Sims explained that the process was rushed due to the timeframe between the committee decision and the Khanacross, this had added to the unfortunate lack of notice given to the competitors. Gwyn Mulholland detail the rules and explained that as the national competition rules in the CAMS manual governed how the event was run they took precedence over the class regulations. Gwyn then went on to explain that NCR 18a which states that no passengers should be carried in a khanacross car meant that anyone under the age of 14 could not compete due to the need to have an instructor with them. Gwyn further went on to explain that this NCR change has been over looked by CAMS and that he had bought this up at the State Executive meeting in August last year. Gwyn also advised the meeting that since the last khanacross he had contacted Andrew Collier asking him why this had not been dealt with. Gwyn then advised that the matter was now to be addressed by CAMS and there should be a bulletin in the near future to change the NCR to allow passengers. Ron Moore congratulated the club and Gwyn for its actions with the Khanacross regulations and for chasing CAMS to a satisfactory conclusion. Ron then went on to express his disappointment with the members of the committee that were present at the khanacross and requested an apology be sent to his son Lachlan Moore. Mick Tuckey indicated that he would personally write an apology to Lachlan on behalf of the club.

John Windsor requested that the club through Gwyn Mulholland keep chasing up the rule changes to try and speed up CAMS to change the NCR as soon as possible, it was agreed that Gwyn would do so. Dave Catt then addressed the meeting to inform the members present that Matt Windsor, Brian Nightingale and Rod Jones had been awarded the honour of being named Bathurst 200 living legends, Dave then congratulated the three involved. Mick Tuckey agreed with this and added the clubs congratulations. Wayne Bowden asked about the progress on the mens toilets at the clubhouse. Mick Tuckey inform the meeting that the quotes had been received and that work was anticipated to star during the lull in speed events which should be in the next couple of months. John Windsor asked about the lack of a first aid kit for the quarry, Scott Sims noted that there should have been a first aid kit in the fire ute, but also noted that there should be a first aid kit permanently at the quarry and it was agreed that the committee look into the purchase of a first aid kit for the container. It was also agreed that the club look at checking the kit in the ute for out of date items. It was agreed: (1) that it would be unfair on the competitors to reschedule Kempsey to another date, even if Kempsey was available, as most people would have arranged their schedule for the year 2015.

(2) that Rule 4b of the regulations be amended to: the Championship consisting of 9 rounds, the best 7 of which will count towards the Championship. (3) that Rule 7a of the regulations be amended to: for a competitor to be eligible for an annual outright or class award he/she must have competed in at least 5 rounds of the championship Regards, Ron Hay Panel Secretary KING STILL KING Tony King (MX5) produced another class win in the 2015 NSW Supersprint Championship at Sydney Motorsport Park conducted on the Druitt Circuit.
