Table of Contents PG 2 PG 1 - Cover... Show Times/ Venue PG 2 - Classes Performing PG 3 - Hair and Makeup PG 4 - Backstage Policies PG 5 - Shoes, Tights, & Accessories PG 6 - Theatre Policies & Tickets PG 7 - Merchandise, DVD s, & Action Photos PG 8 - Trophies and Scholarship IF YOU ARE NOT A MEMBER OF THE COMPETITION TEAM, PARKER DANCE COMPANY, YOU DO NOT PERFORM AT THE 7:00PM SHOW! Parker Dance Company Showcase - June 3 @ 7:00pm ALL PDC dancers will perform in the Showcase INCLUDING Hip Hop Co. Hair and Makeup will be THE SAME as competition for THIS show ONLY. All competition routines will be placed in the lineup including solos, duets, and trios. SOME information may vary from this packet as we get closer to show dates. You will be updated through email of differing info in these instances. Please email any and all photos you have from the season to CarrolltonAD@gmail.com so they can be added to the annual slideshow.

Hair and Makeup PG 3 Hair - ALL DANCERS are to have their hair in a classical ballet bun at the crown of the head, NO BANGS. Hair must be pulled up/back TIGHTLY to avoid fly aways. You must use GEL, not just hairspray, to maintain a clean, neat look when creating a nice and neat bun. Using a bristle brush and wetting the hair also aids in pulling back the hair for a sleek look without fly aways. You have also been sent a youtube link with a very basic run through of how to create a classical ballet bun. PLEASE be sure all head pieces are sent with your dancer. Our backstage workers will secure all head pieces before the show so that all dancers look the same. Be sure to pack a small bag of bobby pins and hairspray for your dancer. Make Up - NO NAIL POLISH OTHER THAN CLEAR OR FRENCH MANICURE! While makeup is not required for the younger dancers, PLEASE NOTE that any dancer without makeup on WILL NOT show up on stage. Essentially, you will see their costume, but not their face! We suggest and recommend that ALL dancers wear makeup. A youtube tutorial has been sent to you with suggested makeup colors, tips, and application. Yes, the makeup is done heavy... This is for stage purposes. Use dark browns and neutral eye shadows, black liner, black mascara (fake eyelashes are recommended for ages 7 and up), and RED lipstick. AVOID THE FOLLOWING COLORS OF EYESHADOW: Blue, Purple, Pink, Dark Gray, and Black. Stage lighting is very bright and very harsh, washing out all facial features of all skin tones. Company Dancers: MAKEUP INSTRUCTIONS TO COME. Hair for the 2:00pm show will be the same as instructions above. Hair for 7:00pm show will be same as competition. Make life easier with a Make Up Kits......similar to the kits used by Parker Dance Company members can be ordered for you if you wish! Kit will include eye shadow palette, eye pencil, blush, lip stick pencil, red lip glitter, makeup brush, and pencil sharpener all in a zipper closure makeup bag. Order your full kit for $45. Red lip stick pencil and red lip glitter combo can be ordered separately for $25. Order your kit or lip glitter combo at the front desk or by email NO LATER than MONDAY, MAY 15!

Backstage Policies - PARENTS PLEASE PAY CLOSE ATTENTION! UNDER NO PG 4 CIRCUMSTANCE WILL WE WAIVER FROM THESE POLICIES. POLICIES ARE IN PLACE TO ENSURE THE SAFETY AND WELL BEING OF EVERY CHILD. POLICIES ARE ALSO IN ACCORDANCE WITH LIABILITY RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE STUDIO AND THEATRE. Only those that have signed up to volunteer backstage will be permitted in the backstage area. This includes before, during (including intermission), and after the show. Volunteers will be given name badges. No male is permitted in the dressing areas designated for females at any time. This includes brothers, cousins, fathers, etc. Dancers must be signed in by a parent or guardian when being dropped off backstage before the show. Dancers are expected to remain backstage for the entirety of the show. Upon conclusion of the show the SAME parent or guardian must sign the dancer out at the same table where they were signed in. THIS IS FOR THE SAFETY AND WELL BEING OF YOUR CHILD. If your child absolutely cannot be backstage without you, we suggest signing up as a backstage volunteer. PLEASE READ THROUGH OUR VOLUNTEER DUTIES AND INFORMATION BEFORE COMMITTING TO A VOLUNTEER POSITION. If you must get your dancer before the conclusion of the show you must notify the front desk. Forms for early sign out must be completed and signed by a parent BEFORE Friday, May 19! Parents of our youngest dancers, don t fret! If you are needed for any reason one of our backstage volunteers will come find you in the auditorium and escort you back to your dancer :) We will hold informational parent meetings during dress rehearsals to give you a tour of the theatre, show sign in and sign out area, show dressing room areas, and go over backstage details. Any questions you have about show day can also be asked at this time. Times for meetings will be listed on the dress rehearsal schedule. Parents, please understand that all policies are in place for a reason! We want to ensure that everyone involved in the show, whether performing or watching, has an enjoyable experience!!
