Advice for team Managers in Extreme Weather Conditions. Where the extreme weather creates a safety issue, the two Team Captains may at any time agree to discontinue a match. This course of action should only be taken as a last resort and in general a match should be finished if at all possible. Team Captains must be aware that the SAME TEAM MUST be fielded on the resumption of the match. When a decision is taken to discontinue a match, the two Team Captains must: Ensure that the position of the balls and state of the match is clearly agreed. Arrange with the host club for course time to complete the match. Immediately inform East Leinster ILGU. Reporting Match Results. The Manager of the winning team should forward the match result to the Results Contact Person, listed on the draw sheet, as soon as possible. Guidelines for Liaison Officers 2015 AIG Ladies Cups & Shields A Liaison Officer is a vital part in the successful running of the AIG Ladies Cups & Shields - Inter Club Matches. She must be fully conversant with the internal structure within her own club. This enables her to direct enquiries to the relevant personnel. The Office, Caterer and Pro Shop should be informed of the names of the Clubs playing on the day. Suggest a book is kept in the Pro Shop for players to sign in, emphasis one free practice round. A week or two before the Matches contact the visiting Team Managers with menu choices and prices. Get an approximate number of players and caddies who will be eating on the day so you can inform the caterer. Organise at least three other club members to assist you on the day. ON THE DAY OF THE MATCH Have your organised club members on hand to welcome the visiting teams. Have Tea/Coffee available for teams prior to play. ( Clubs to pay for their own) Before the start of play get the menu choices and numbers for the kitchen Make the bar aware that Clubs may be running an account for Drinks/Wine. Arrange to have club members as starters, who will ensure all Teams are at the 1 st Tee 10 minutes before their tee time. Getting Teams off promptly avoids delays for later Teams. Supply Score Cards and copies of any local rules that are not on the card. In the event of a match going down the 19 th ensure that this is facilitated. Following the recent survey where Clubs displayed a definite preference to be seated with the opposing Team following the Match, we would ask Liaison Officers to arrange this whenever possible. Ensure Bar and Catering staff prepare accounts for Team Captains who must discharge Team Expenses before leaving the Club. Liaison Officers should not involve themselves with any disputes that may occur on the course. This is the Team s Captain s Domain
