Inside this issue: October 2017 viewpoint Our thoughts and prayers go out to all who have been affected by the recent Napa and Santa Rosa fires. Vista Resorts has many members who have been affected and we want you to know that we are here for you and pray for a speedy and safe recovery. We all look forward to heading into fall and the great weather and opportunities that follow. We have many great events this season, all of which are outlined in this edition. We wanted to highlight our November 11 Veterans Day Chili Cookoff. We are very supportive and grateful for our troops, therefore all proceeds will be donated to Team Rubicon an awesome Veterans organization that helps those in need and supplies much needed support in times of disasters. All Members are encouraged to participate in the Chili Cookoff. The winner of the Cook Off will receive 2 tickets to the Sacramento Kings. All Veterans- we would be honored for you to come join the Cook off, with our compliments, and share your military stories in a Fireside chat afterwards. Please check out this event and all others through the end of the year. In this edition we have also highlighted some of the activities in our neighboring communities this fall and holiday season. It is a great opportunity for you to get out and enjoy some beer or wine tasting, music, arts/crafts fairs, Christmas lighting, and various entertainments all within close proximity of our parks. So come visit us this Fall and enjoy some of the local activities. Lake Berryessa was back at its normal lake levels this summer for the first time in many years, much to the delight of members who enjoy this great lake for swimming, fishing and boating. Putah Creek, a great beneficiary of Lake Berryessa, is one of this state's most sought-after fishing destinations. Anglers start to come back this time of year as the water begins to cool and trophy trout are caught and released. The local agencies have done a great job monitoring and maintaining this beautiful creek for further generations to enjoy. We will also begin our fall/winters season of park and administrative improvements at both resorts. Playground improvement and maintenance will begin soon along with more restroom improvements. We will also be implementing a new in-house billing system. This system will allow Email invoicing and more flexibility for all of you with both online and automatic payments. We always appreciate any suggestions members have for making the resorts more enjoyable places to stay, so please leave a note on your next visit. Finally, as we inch ever more into the 21 st century, our social media outreach will push further forward as well. We will post and advertise more on Facebook in an effort to reach our members and to keep you all informed on activities and postings at the resorts. We hope to see you all soon at upcoming events, or just for a leisurely couple of days. Happy Camping and Safe Traveling!
