Bon Voyage Seven Lakes Junior High 8th Grade Fiesta Saturday, April 28, 2018 7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. The Spartans are celebrating their success with a Bon Voyage themed fiesta on Saturday, April 28th from 7:00 p.m. 10:00 p.m. at Seven Lakes Junior High. This is the most important communication you will receive from your 8th Grade Dance Committee. Please read and sign the DANCE GUIDELINES carefully as it includes all the necessary information for your child to attend the dance. You may either print & sign these forms and send them to the front office with your check payment made out to SLJH PTA or you may digitally sign these forms and purchase the tickets online on our SLJH PTA website. FIESTA GUIDELINES To ensure that the fiesta is a successful and safe event, the following guidelines have been set by Principal Dr. Medrano. Eligibility: Only 8th grade students attending Seven Lakes Junior High may attend the fiesta. Singles and groups are encouraged. Permission and Admittance Fee: In order to attend the fiesta, the student and one of his/her parents or guardians must read, understand, and agree to follow the guidelines before the student will be allowed to attend. You will also need to remit the $25 admittance fee. Tickets: All students will receive an admissions ticket once they have signed the form online and paid the online fee of $25. THIS TICKET, ALONG WITH YOUR STUDENT ID (ACTUAL ID OR PHOTO ID) WILL NEED TO BE PRESENTED AT THE DOOR TO ENTER THE FIESTA! THE STUDENT WILL NOT RECEIVE THE TICKET UNTIL THE ONLINE FORM AND FEE HAVE BEEN SUBMITTED! Fiesta Information: The fiesta will include a live DJ with great music, games, photo booth, light food and drinks. For the student s convenience we will have a coat check booth where coats, purses, shoes, and/or cameras will be safely watched over. Photography: The fiesta will consist of many different photographic moments including a photo booth, red carpet backdrop, and other photo opportunities throughout the night of the event. I give permission for these photos to be posted to a private Shutterfly website or other private websites. I agree for my student to be photographed without financial remuneration, and I understand that this releases the photographer, photo booth vendor, videographer, or photo manager, from any future claims, as well as from any liability arising from the use of the said photography/video. Checking the box at the end of this form and signing your name and your students name and paying the $25 fee will give the permission needed for your child to be photographed throughout this SLJH 8th grade event. Drop Off And Pick Up: LIMOUSINES WILL NOT BE ALLOWED ON THE SCHOOL GROUNDS AND ARE STRONGLY DISCOURAGED. DRESS CODE COMPLIANCE WILL BE CHECKED IMMEDIATELY UPON ENTERING THE BUILDING. Students will be encouraged to stay for the entire fiesta and encouraged to be picked-up by their parents. Please start arriving to pick up your child at 9:55 p.m. Students will be dismissed in an orderly fashion. Please be on time to pick up your child. Security: During fiesta hours, your student may ONLY leave early in the company of his or her parents. Show of ID will be required. Other: For a quick look, parents may come in when picking up their child at 9:45 p.m.

SLJH 8th Grade Fiesta Dress Code THE DRESS CODE POLICY WILL BE ENFORCED. If there are any questions about the appropriateness of your fiesta attire, please be sure to get approval from Mrs. Lopardo, Assistant Principal, prior to the night of the fiesta to avoid any problems. Spaghetti straps WILL be allowed. One shoulder, halter-top dresses or tops are allowed but must not have a low back. Back or backless halter-top, strapless, or off the shoulder dresses or tops WILL NOT be allowed. The front and back neckline must not come lower than the top of the armpits when arms are held straight out. See-through mesh will not be considered appropriate, if removing the mesh would make the dress or top unacceptable to the Fiesta dress code. Dresses may not be shorter than fingertip length. Slits may not be above mid-thigh length. The midriff may not show. If the outfit is a two-piece, the midriff may not show when arms are raised. Cutouts are not allowed. Pants must be worn at the waist and belted if appropriate. They may not be touching the ground, covering the foot, or excessively baggy. Pants must be hemmed with no split or fringed edges. There may be no holes in the pants. No jeans or shorts. Shirts or blouses may not be oversized or immodestly undersized. Students who come dressed inappropriately will be stopped at the front door, and will be asked to correct the violation before entering. Suit coats and sport coats are acceptable for this occasion but are not required. Dress to impress!

My student and I have read, understand and agree to follow the Fiesta guidelines and dress code guidelines for the 8th Grade Fiesta to be held at Seven Lakes Junior High. If my student does not comply with the guidelines, he/she will be asked to leave the fiesta, and I will be required to pick up my student from school. I also understand that without agreeing to the terms listed and paid fiesta fee of $25 my student will not be allowed to enter the fiesta.
