These may be dangerous if inhaled. Vapor can built explosive mixtures with air. Vapor are heavier than air and may spread on the ground to sources of ignition. Insulating breathing apparatus must be worn in confined premises with heavy concentrations of fumes and gases. SECTION #6 TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION Nom chimique LD 50 ORAL LD 50 DERMAL LC 50 INHALATION Naphtha (petroleum), hydrotreated > 5000 mg/kg (rat) > 3160 mg/kg (rabbit) - INHALATION: CONTACT WITH EYES: INGESTION: SKIN CONTACT: Inhalation of high concentration of vapor or aerosols may cause an irritation of the upper respiratory tract. This product should not cause eye irritation. Prolonged and repeated contact with this product may cause eye irritation. In case of ingestion small quantities, no important effect observed. In case of ingestion larger amount: abdominal pain, diarrhea,... Do not induce vomiting. Characteristic skin affections (oil blisters) may develop following prolonged and repeated exposure through contact with stained clothing. SECTION #7 ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES SPILL AND LEAK PROCEDURES: Eliminate all ignition sources. Ensure good ventilation. Stop leak only if safe to do so. Absorb residue or small spills with absorbent material and remove to non-leaking containers for disposal. Do not expose to sunlight or temperature exceeding 50 C/123 F. Do not perfora te or burn, even after use. Avoid static electricity build up with connection to earth. Make the necessary arrangements to prevent water and soil pollution. - Suitable: Store at ambient temperature, protected against contact with water and moisture, and away from any source of ignition. Dangerous reaction with strong oxidizing agents. SECTION #9 VENTILATION: EXPOSURE CONTROLS / PERSONAL PROTECTION Mechanical ventilation is recommended. RESPIRATORY PROTECTION: GLOVES: EYE PROTECTION: OTHER PROTECTION: If mist present, chemical cartridge respirator is recommended. Resistant gloves (Viton, Nitrile, Neoprene) are recommended when handling this material. Chemical safety goggles are recommended. SECTION #10 DISPOSAL CONSIDERATIONS WASTE DISPOSAL METHODS: Consult relevant local authorities. Reclaim or dispose of at a licensed waste disposal company. Incinerate with approval of appropriate local authority. SECTION #11 INHALATION: FIRST AID Remove person to fresh air. See a physician if irritation persists. CONTACT WITH EYES: CONTACT WITH SKIN: INGESTION: Flush immediately with water for at least 15 minutes. Wash contaminated skin with mild soap and water. See a physician if irritation persists. This product has a low toxicity. May cause nausea and have a laxative effect. Do not induce vomiting. Contact an Anti-Poison Center (1-800-463-5060). ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: PHYSICO-CHEMICAL HAZARDS: Do not discharge this product into the environment. Harmful to aquatic organism, may cause long-term adverse effects in the aquatic environment. SECTION #13 ECOLOGICAL INFORMATION ENVIRONMENTAL EFFECTS: Do not allow product or runoff from fire control to enter storm or sanitary sewers, lakes, rivers, streams, or public waterways. Block off drains and ditches. Provincial regulations require and federal regulations may require that environmental and/or other agencies be notified of a spill incident.
