We had a great few days enjoying this beautiful well appointed house SANDY LYLE Two-time Major Champion THE ROUNDEL The latest luxury development offering a sumptuous and intimate environment for your visit. The Roundel sleeps up to 10 in 5 comfortable bedrooms, two with dressing rooms. All have ensuite facilities comprising power showers and there is a whirlpool bath in the main bathroom. Four of the bedrooms have Super King beds which can be used as doubles or unzipped and used as twins. There are two sitting rooms in which you can congregate, relax and chill, both with wall mounted televisions. The kitchen is exceptionally well appointed with an oven, microwave, steam oven, induction hob and a Rayburn to indulge the Chef in you. There are two tall fridge/freezers, two dishwashers, two sinks and a large kitchen table. The utility area has a washing machine and dryer. The kernel of this fabulous property, which elevates it and gives it its name, is the magnificent round room. This capacious room, with its high conical roof, is quite stunning and houses a lounge and a dining area. To cap it off its 5 large windows look out to the garden and beyond to the tranquil, beautiful Fife countryside. There is, also, a private Hydro Spa in the garden, outdoor BBQ and patio area. This is housed under a bespoke pagoda, inspired by the shape of The Roundel itself. The Roundel now has its own Short Game Area which opened in May 2017 has 3 pitching mats, 9 putting green holes and two bunkers. HAWKSWOOD HOUSE The minute you step into Hawkswood House you know you re somewhere special. Along with the fabulous living areas, the owners have taken care to create a sense of privacy, so even when sharing the house with a group of friends you ll always have your own relaxing space to enjoy. Each of the five bedrooms has a luxurious en suite, and in the two glorious reception rooms, log burners create a welcoming focus on chilly days. Large flat screen TVs with full Sky packages in the sitting room and conservatory mean there s never a clash between sports and family viewing. With five ensuite bedrooms, up to 10 guests can enjoy Hawkswood House in absolute privacy and comfort. The beds can be configured as doubles or twins as required - easily accomodating singles, groups and couples. The terraced balcony provides the perfect setting for breakfast or evening drinks in the warmer months, and the conservatory, superb kitchen and spacious dining room provide flexible areas for cooking, dining and entertaining. The kitchen is exceptionally well appointed with an oven, microwave, steam oven and induction hob. There are two tall fridge/freezers, two dishwashers, two sinks and a large dining table. The utility area has a washing machine and dryer. The large boot room offers plenty of space for all your golf kit and outdoor clothing, and after a long day on the course or sightseeing, a session in the whirlpool bath will soothe your muscles. There is no doubt the old Leven G.C. began to play as early as 1846 amongst the bents, sandhills and windlestraie, west of the Mile Dyke. For a time only 9 holes were in being all maintained by the golfers and their families (a paid Keeper of the Green did not appear at Leven until 1876). They were joined in 1867 by members of Innerleven G.C. who, in the guise of a component in the merger with Leven G.C. to form Leven Golfing Society, lays claim to the title of the world s eleventh oldest club. It had been holding competitions on the now defunct Dubbieside links, across the river Leven, since 1820. CRAIL GC A combination of stunning coastal views, centuries of history and hugely enjoyable golf is what makes Balcomie Links one of Scotland s most finely polished, golfing gems.this traditional, classic links course was laid out by the old master himself, Tom Morris, and opened in 1895. Created in the days when course design was governed by the natural lie of the land and not the mechanical earth mover, Balcomie has the unusual combination of three par fives, six par threes and nine par fours, producing a tough par of 69. Extraordinary holes abound, along with those which seriously challenge and those which are more comfortable. The sum total is a layout which both enchants and delights, but which also demands and punishes, testing all the skills in a golfer s armoury as well as his nerve. Those length seekers who believe Balcomie will be a soft touch, do so at their peril.

The Championship Course has hosted seven Open Championships, one Ladies British Open and two Seniors Open making it one of the very few to have done so in the UK. It is one of the three courses used for the annual Dunhill Links, the others being Kingsbarns and the Old Course in St Andrews and in 2018 The Open Championship will return to the course.
