Dusk has arrived and the evening is alive with the mystic powers and rhythmic sounds of distant lands. The nearby trees cast a shadow against the darkening sky, creating a mysterious charm in which to celebrate. Passed drinks and hors d oeuvres are on hand as your enchanted evening begins. Just before dinner, your Guests receive another surprise. Several animal experts have brought in the smaller native creatures for a close encounter of an exotic kind. Across the courtyard they roam, revealing the secrets of the ancient animals they study and protect. Stepping through a colorfully painted montage of exotic animals, you enter Conservation Station Attraction. More images of the world s creatures peer at you from the walls of the entrance, and jungle sounds immediately greet you. Chirping crickets, trickling waterfalls, birdcalls, and distant animal sounds draw you into another world. This is Disney s haven for Mother Nature s protection, and it is a celebration of the Circle of Life. Lush foliage fringes the room, and tables are set with black draping, animal print overlays, and shimmering votive candles. Your Guests are invited to stroll the various buffets filled with delicious fare from far-away cultures. Tonight it is as though you and your Guests are dining in the wild. See the Notes below. Enhancements: Wildlife Express Train (One Way) Wildlife Express Train (Roundtrip) Your journey to Conservation Station Attraction can begin as you ride the rails on this rustic 1920s-era African train which boards in Harambe Village. You will travel along the outskirts of the savannah for a behind-the-scenes journey through several animal housing and care areas of the park. In just over five minutes, your guided train ride transports you to where Guests will disembark and walk the short distance to their private event at Conservation Station Attraction All aboard! Animal Programs Presenter Your Guests will enjoy learning about wildlife, ecosystems, and the resources key to their survival by experiencing the various interactive exhibits throughout Conservation Station Attraction. A knowledgeable Cast Member from Animal Programs will be on hand to answer questions and share more about the veterinary facilities and ongoing work that takes place right here at Disney s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. A $50.00 contribution from this experience will also go to benefit Disney s Worldwide Conservation Fund. DiVine The jungles magically come to life as this elaborately-costumed stiltwalking performance artist disguises herself amongst the foliage. Reaching a height from 9 to 16 tall, the living vine slowly animates, moving in and out of stunning tableaus. She gracefully makes her way through your event leaving your Guests fascinated as once more she melds into her surroundings. Kilimanjaro Safaris Expediton Mix-In Join us at dusk on the Harambe Wildlife Preserve where you and your Guests climb aboard your open-aired safari vehicle. Hold on tightly, there s no pavement out here - there s barely a dirt path created by the trucks who have gone before. Traversing shallow rivers, sparse forests, rocky mounds, and the open savannah, your convoy seeks out indigenous animals roaming free. Some are skittish and hide, peeking through the golden grasses, others blink doe-eyed beside the path and peer into your eyes. Still others stand tall and proud on the hill, just out of reach. Your guide patiently searches out the best spots for sighting the wonders of Africa, pointing and instructing just how to discern the creature from the camouflage. Upgraded Interior Lighting Rotating patterns of light further immerse your Guests into their environmental surroundings. Note: Labor is required for any of the lighting packages. However, no additional labor is required if more than one lighting package is chosen. Table Decor A beautiful assortment of air-breathing plants growing from a driftwood planter will decorate your table and make a wonderful takeaway for your Guests.
