GENERAL INFORMATION Getting Around During Super Bowl 50 JAN. 30 FEB. 7, 2016 Transportation impacts expected Jan. 23 Feb. 12. The Bay Area is hosting Super Bowl 50! While the game is in Santa Clara, nine days of activities leading up to the game will be in San Francisco. Here s how to get around during this time.

Tips for Getting Around During the Super Bowl 1. Take transit, bike or walk. Driving downtown is not advised. 2. Allow more time and plan your trip at 511.org. 3. Purchase tickets in advance on Clipper or MuniMobile app and skip the lines. 4. If you can, modify your work schedule: Work remotely, stagger your work hours or take that vacation you deserve. 5. Enjoy the event: Super Bowl City is open nine days to allow locals to explore the event before visitors arrive. EVENT LOCATIONS Super Bowl City presented by Verizon A Free-to-the-public fan village at the base of Market Street with activities, concerts and more. This is a secure perimeter with security checks required for entrance. Street Closures Super Bowl City will lead to reroutes and detours for autos and bikes on the following streets: Market Street, between Beale and Steuart streets Southbound Embarcadero, from Washington to Don Chee Way Beale, Main, Spear, Steuart streets from Market to Howard streets NFL Experience driven by Hyundai Located at Moscone Center, this is a paid-for event area with interactive pro football activities and an NFL shop. Street Closures NFL Experience will lead to reroutes and detours for autos and bikes on the following streets: Howard Street between 3rd and 4th streets Partial closure on Howard between 4th and 5th streets Buying Muni Tickets Avoid the lines and download your tickets ahead of time. Super Bowl 50 Bike and Auto Detours Below are the auto detours around Super Bowl City and the NFL Experience. Expect heavy congestion along these streets and allow for more driving time than usual. If possible, bike, walk or take transit instead. Recommended bike detours are listed in green. Super Bowl 50 Pedestrian Routes Super Bowl City is a secure perimeter with four checkpoints. Pedestrians may use the checkpoints, walk around the perimeter and use Muni/BART portals to cross Market Street. GETTING AROUND BY TRANSIT The F-Market/Wharves line will operate with streetcars on the Embarcadero between Fisherman s Wharf and Don Chee Way at Steuart Street across from the Ferry Building, and with buses from the Castro to Don Chee Way at Steuart Street. Muni Metro will resume nightly service in time for Super Bowl events. Super Bowl 50 Muni Service Changes In most cases, Muni stops are within a block or two of their usual location. Lines with reroutes or changed stops are listed below. On-street signage will direct riders to the new stop locations. Visit 511.org for tripplanning details. NextBus predictions will be in effect.
