Dear Parents, The TIS Orchestra after school practice will be offered again during Term 1. There will be two separate days during which this program will be offered: Mondays and Fridays for all MYP grade levels during regular program time (3:30-4:30PM). However, these programs are free of charge. Why should my child attend Orchestra After School? These sessions count towards the full weekly practice requirements for Grade 6, 7, and 8 Orchestra classes (30 minutes, two times per week). During these sessions, your child will have the opportunity to better their playing skills, accomplish the weekly practice requirement, complete orchestra assignments/video assessments, and other related assignments. This session is strongly encouraged if your child plays a large instrument such as cello and bass or if your child cannot take their instrument home. If interested, please return this permission form to my mailbox or the office by the beginning of Term 1 clubs. Happy playing! Sincerely, Jamison Barrett Orchestra Teacher jbarrett@tokyois.com --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Permission Form for TIS Orchestra After School I give permission for my son/daughter, (please print), in Grade to participate in Tokyo International School s Orchestra After School program on Monday / Friday (circle one).
