CVAC Club Insider September 2013 Notes from The General Manager Axel Binneboese General Manager Once again, CVAC has some exciting events planned for the month of September. The ever popular Poker Championship and Wine Tasting, which is complimentary for CVAC members and guests, are back. The August wine tasting featured some exotic and rare wines and drew rave reviews from many of you. Join us for one or all of our upcoming social events and rediscover why you chose CVAC as your health club. I look forward, in particular, to our Tennis Club Championship on the weekend of September 14th & 15th and the weekend of the 21st & 22nd. Our Head Pro, Mike Zury, is already preparing heavily and if you have seen me out on the Tennis courts, I am practicing hard not to make a fool of myself in the upcoming games. We will have a Players BBQ on Sunday, September 15th and will have other entertaining events surrounding this club competition. I hope you will enjoy this month s CVAC member offer to enjoy the ultimate relaxation experience at Refuge for a only $20. See below for more details. I wanted to congratulate our very own Rachel for her promotion to Kids Klub Supervisor. Most of you know Rachel either from the Kids Klub, where she cared for your little ones, or the CVAC Front desk, where she checked everyone in with a smile. No matter where you met Rachel, her hospitality and care towards our CVAC members has always been exemplary. I know Rachel will be able to create an excellent Kids Klub team and will have all of our support to continue and improve the CVAC Kids Klub. She has already declared the month of September as Swimtember and is planning Saturday camps for kids of varying ages with a focus on swimming in the pool. I am also planning to create a quick Membership Satisfaction Survey for you to complete this month. Your responses to the survey will help us make CVAC even better for you. I thank you in advance for your participation. I hope you have an excellent month of September. With most of the kids back in school, the summer feels like it is coming to an end. Thankfully, September and October usually have the best weather here and I hope you take full advantage of it at the locals resort, CVAC. See you at the Club, Axel Binneboese
The key theme for September is the return of competitive Tennis to CVAC! Not that we haven t been competing, our USTA tennis teams are legendary for their skills and competitive spirit. It is the internal competition that I am talking about. This month the Club Championship returns to CVAC in a big way! Register yourself or your team at the Front Desk for the weekend of September 14/15 and the next weekend. We will do a BBQ on the 15th. A small registration fee of $15 is required. Our August hike was a bit more challenging than usual, so this September we will take it easy and hike an easy route in our own backyard the Palo Corona trail. This is for families and friends of all ages. On a scale of 1-5 with 5 being the hardest, it is probably about a 1.5. Coming up this September, we ve got some great activities and events for the kids. Drop them off any Saturday in September at the Kids Klub and they will enjoy a day of sports. From Basketball to dodgeball and everything in between, Saturdays will soon be their favorite day of the week. As for the adult members of our club, we ve got a new CX WORX 11 and Body Pump 87 Launch on the way. Join Terri and her CX & pump team for a great workout with new music and new moves.
