Weekend Overview Friday February 2 nd & Saturday February 3rd Hosted by the University of Toronto Mississauga In the Recreation, Athletic & Wellness Centre (RAWC) 3359 Mississauga Road North, Mississauga, ON Friday February 2 nd Gym A/B & Gym C open for Warm Up from 8:00am-9:50am Tournament play will begin at 10:00am in Gym A/B Saturday February 3 rd, 2018 Gym A/B & Gym C will be open for Warm Up fro 8:00am-8:50am Tournament Play will begin at 9:00am in Gym A/B Our main Competition Gymnasium A/B will be used for the Regionals and will be open with 6 courts and plenty of spectator bleacher seating. NOTE: All players and VIPs must visibly wear their accreditation when inside the Recreation Athletics and Wellness Centre (RAWC). Coaches Meeting Will take place at 9:00am Friday, February 2 nd in the UTM Golf Room. Coaches will need to provide their completed ranking forms (located on page 6 at the start of the meeting. Parking On Friday and Saturday, cars and vans are to park in Lot #4 or #8 near the RAWC. Buses will be able to drop off athletes/coaches and then park in the back of lot #8. Each school will be provided up to 4 free parking passes for use over the weekend. Prior to parking, all vehicles and buses must stop and purchase a parking pass from our Membership Services Desk located in the lobby of the RAWC. All additional vehicles must pay for parking at the designated parking meters in the parking lot. Please remember to display parking passes on your vehicle s dashboard. NOTE: A campus map can be found on page 8 of this package. Registration Desk All teams must check-in at the Tournament Registration desk upon arrival located at the entrance of Gym A/B. Athlete Change rooms Tournament participants may use our main male and female change rooms for the duration of the tournament. Follow the signage to the change rooms. These will not be locked. Athletes should not leave valuables in the change rooms. There are temporary lockers that will be available in the change rooms but participants must bring their own lock. Additional Practice Courts In addition to our main courts, on both days we will have three courts open for practice in the player s lounge area located in our GYM C. These courts will be open at 8:00am on Friday and Saturday. 2
Athletes Lounge Our GYM C will also serve as the athlete s lounge area. There will be three courts for practice all day on both days. There will be an area at the end of the gym with tables and chairs. We will have Gatorade, healthy snacks and fruits in this area on both days. There will also be some spin bikes for athletes to warm-up and a tent set up with a taping table and floor mats for your team therapists to tape and stretch out their athletes. Athletic Therapy/First Aid We will have the services of a full-time athletic therapist, for the duration of the tournament. We will also have additional first aid coverage by ECSPERT, our on campus emergency response team. They will have a tent set-up in the far corner of the competition gym in the RAWC. Teams are required to provide their own taping supplies. Coaches/VIP Lounge The Golf Room will also be the coaches and VIP lounge area. This room will be for coaching staff, officials and VIP only. There will be refreshments and snacks for coaches and VIPs in this room. Use of our facility Coaches and VIPs will be allowed to use our athletic facilities while at the Regional tournament. They must have their accreditation displayed to gain access to our facilities and must pick up a high performance pass at the Membership Services counter. Athletes however, will be restricted to the gyms and locker rooms only. Food on Campus Friday, Tim Horton s is open until 7pm, Subway until 6pm and most stations in the TFC are open until 4pm. Saturday, Tim s will be open from 11am to 4pm, Subway 11am to 4pm and in the TFC: Booster juice, Pizza Pizza and OTG will be open from 11am to 4pm. NOTE: Pizza will be provided to athletes, coaches & VIPs at lunches, in addition to light refreshments.
