These Hunterdon County Horse Shows are rated A in the following divisions: Green Pony Hunter, Regular Pony Hunter, Junior Hunter, Amateur Owner Hunter, Green Conformation Hunter, Green Working Hunter and Regular Working Hunter. The horse shows are C rated in Children s Hunter and Adult Amateur Hunter. These shows are recognized by USEF, NJPHA, Marshall & Sterling, NAL and NJHSA. Stall Fees: Limited stabling is available. All stall reservations must be paid in full by June 30th. STALL FEES ARE NOT REFUNDABLE. Occupancy will be after July 13th at 12:00 P.M. No initial bedding. Temporary stalls with doors are provided. Only fully paid stall reservations will be accepted at $150.00 per horse show or $275.00 for both shows. Entries: Entries close July 1st. Entries received after that date will be accepted, but will have to pay office fees of $35. Any entries received without an open check will not be accepted. Scratch fee is $25.00 per horse. A $5.00 charge for any check not filled out by the end of the show. Ponies: Any entry in any class restricted to ponies must present a measurement card or be measured prior to picking up back number. This includes rated and unrated classes. Prize money will be available at the Secretary s office 20 minutes after the conclusion of each division. Prize money must be picked up by the end of the show or it will be forfeited. Schooling: Pre ticketed schooling - check time schedule. You must have a ticket to school. Schooling is $10.00 per horse to be paid at gate; $15.00 at office. Schooling will be permitted only if weather and footing permit. Numbers: No numbers will be given out without an open check for entry fees, all necessary signatures, membership cards, measurement cards or copies and other required information on the entry blank. C Rated: Children s Hunter and Adult Amateur Hunter. RULES AND SPECIFICATIONS Every class offered herein which is covered by the rules and specifications of the current USEF rule book will be conducted and judged in accordance therewith. 1. HUNTER CLASSES will be judged on performance and soundness. Any additional specifications will be noted. 2. HUNTER CHAMPIONSHIPS will be awarded in accordance with USEF Rule HU 148. 3. STABLING - All stalls will be on first come, first serve basis. Stalls must be reserved by the June 30th. All stabling must be paid in advance. NO REFUNDS. 4. PRIZE MONEY will be awarded in the office. 5. A computerized jumping order established pursuant to USEF JP 1122. 6. Hunter courses may include brush, coops, in and out, stone wall, log, gates, and will be posted at the in-gate at least one hour prior to each class. 7. Jumper courses may include post and rail, gates, oxer, wall, panels coop, or any other combination of the above. 8. COURSES AND FENCES. The Committee reserves the right to change the obstacles or vary the courses at their discretion. 9. SCHOOLING will be permitted only in the areas provided by the committee and only over practice jumps therein. 10. REFUNDS will be mailed 30 days after the show. A $25.00 processing fee per horse or equitation rider will be deducted from all refunded entries. PLEASE NOTE: Once a horse or rider has shown in any class, they are no longer eligible for a refund. THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS ON STALLS for any reason. 11. The committee reserves the right to cancel any class when in its judgement the entries are inadequate and to combine or divide any class or classes should the best interest of the show or the rules of the USEF require it. 12. If necessary to meet time schedule requirements, show management reserves the right to limit the number of entries accepted in each division. (First come, first served basis.) Also reserved is the right to move the location of classes, and adjust the time schedule if in the opinion of management circumstances dictate such changes. 13. Exhibitors are notified that any discourtesy or disobedience to the judges or Officials on the part of an owner, rider or groom shall disqualify the horse, and the owner shall forfeit his entry and other fees. 14. Exhibitors must be in proper riding attire and wear approved protective headgear. 15. Points toward annual NJPHA High Score Awards will be given only to the winners of a class who are members of the NJPHA. However, non-members may exhibit and place in any class. 16. A processing fee of $50.00 will be made for all non-negotiable checks. Any returned checks not made good within 10 days will be forwarded to the USEF for collection per USEF Rule GR 913. 17. Dogs must be leashed. 18. Hunterdon County Horse Show/Duncraven will in no case be responsible for any loss or damage that may occur and it shall be a condition of entry that each exhibitor shall hold the Hunterdon County Horse Show/Duncraven harmless for any illness, loss or accident which may occur by fire or otherwise. 19. Minors who do not have a valid driver s license which allows them to operate a motorized vehicle in the state in which they reside will not be permitted to operate a motorized vehicle of any kind including, but not limited to, golf carts, motorcycles, scooters, or farm utility vehicles on the competition grounds of recognized competitions. Minors who have a valid temporary license may operate the above described motorized vehicles as long as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid driver s license. Violations of this rule will be cause for sanctions against the parent(s), guardian(s) and/or trainer(s) who are responsible for the child committing the offense. Penalties may include exclusion of the child, parent(s), guardian(s) and/or trainer(s) from the competition grounds for the remainder of the competition and charges being filed against any of the above individuals in accordance with Rule 6. Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from this rule. 20. USEF MEMBERSHIP STATEMENT Life, senior active and junior active members shall be eligible to participate in all classes at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions at the Preliminary Level or above and Combined Driving Competitions at the Advanced Level, Dressage, Reining and Vaulting Competitions and Endurance Rides. A nonmember may participate as a handler, rider, driver, owner, lessee, agent, coach or trainer at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions, Dressage Competitions, Reining Competitions and Combined Driving Competitions upon payment of a $30 nonmember registration fee. Participants in the following classes are exempted from the Requirements of this rule: 1) leadline; 2) exhibitions; 3) games and races; 4) classes for 4-H members; 5) walk trot and academy classes (academy classes are classes limited to horses used regularly in a lesson program); 6) USDF introductory level tests, pas de deux and quadrille classes; 7) NRHA Endorsed Reining Competitions. 8) Opportunity classes, 9) citizens of other nations who have proof, in English, of current membership in good standing of their own National Federation, 10) USEA beginner novice division; and 11) assistant handlers in Dressage Sport Horse Breeding classes.
