EVALUATION INFORMATION Our evaluations are not stressful! We evaluate in groups and encourage participants to re-do their skills if they are not 100% satisfied with their evaluation. The selection of teams is a very tedious and often complicated process and many key elements are considered in our decisions. We must choose a well-rounded variety of individuals for each team that take into account the team successes but also the proper progression for each individual athlete. Per the new score sheets & judging rubric, we stay competitive by requiring that MORE THAN THE MAJORITY of athletes need to participate in ALL LEVEL APPROPRIATE SKILLS. Exceptions may be made to create a well-rounded competitive team. Evaluation Clinics: We will hold specific Evaluation Clinics for 2 weeks prior to our Evaluations. A level appropriate routine will be taught and critiqued during the clinics. Routines will be about 45 seconds long. There will also be videos of the routines posted on our website and Facebook pages during the weeks of the clinics. Athletes are asked to learn their level specific routine to perform at their evaluation. The routine will include jumps, tumbling, and dance. During the clinics, our staff will also stunt with the athletes. Although not mandatory to attend all the clinics, we encourage athletes to attend as many as possible so the staff can get to know the athlete as well as the athletes get to know the staff. During clinics, our staff will be evaluating the athletes skills. Evaluation Clinics are listed below and are per clinic: Tuesday, May 9 th from Thursday, May 11 th from Tuesday, May 16 th from Thursday, May 18 th from Evaluations: Routine evaluations will be on Saturday, May 20 th. Evaluation sessions will be based on current tumbling ability (without a spot). Please see the Evaluation Guidelines below for level appropriate tumbling. Athletes are asked to attend the session that corresponds to their current level ability and be prepared to perform the level appropriate routine.
Saturday, May 20 th : Routine Evaluation 10:00-11:30am Level 1 & 2 11:30-1:00pm Level 3 1:00-2:30pm Level 4 2:30-4:00pm Level 5 Prior to leaving evaluations, the athlete will be given a card that indicates the stunting session in which to attend. Please see the calendar for the times/dates of the stunting sessions. During the stunting sessions, the World Cup Staff will focus on stunting with the athletes to make sure the athletes can stunt at the same level in which they can tumble. For 1-2 weeks, the WC Staff will be forming stunt groups and placing stunt groups on level and age appropriate teams. It is during this time where athletes may be moved up or down levels based on the stunting levels and needs of the specific teams. We expect to have teams finalized by June 3 rd. We understand this process may take longer than expected, however, the WC Staff is committed to making the best level and age appropriate teams as possible. **Evaluations are closed to all parents and spectators!** BEFORE EVALUATION DAY Read the evaluation guidelines (next page) Attend tumbling classes leading up to evaluations (schedule below) Attend Evaluation Clinics before evaluations (schedule below) Learn the level appropriate evaluation routine via clinics or video ON EVALUATION DAY Pay the Registration/Tuition Fee of $140 (bring to evaluations) Bring a picture (only if new member to WC) Fill out EZ Pay form (returning & new athletes must bring new form) Fill out Code of Conduct Form (bring to evaluations)

"Our Cheerleaders are our Trophies! PARENT PROMISE I promise to cheer for your child as much as I cheer for mine. I promise to celebrate the achievements of my child without comparing them to others. I will strive to avoid gossip and do my best to speak positively about all athletes. I promise to do my best to remember that I am not the coach and if I have a question I will ask before I create my own perception. I promise to set a good example for my athlete. I understand that my athlete s individual success is also related to the team s success and I will do my best to not undermine the team because that is the World Cup Way! I make this promise to teach my child by example because the success of my child s team and my child s gym matters to me!
