Various Umbilicals IHC Hytech is official agent/distributor for Cortland hoses, power cables and hose/cable assemblies (=umbilicals). Cortland are the market leader for diving umbilicals. Cortland is a company specialised in the manufacturing of special hoses and power cables, which are mainly used in the diving- and offshore industry. All hose assemblies are made to customers specification such as length, no. of components, choice of phosphor bronze swage fittings, quick connectors, and electro connectors. Further each hose assembly will be hydrostatically tested after completion and a test certificate will be supplied. We also can supply you with TV camera umbilicals and other special type of power cable, for which we can offer in- house manufacturing and testing facilities. Bell umbilicals This product range includes umbilicals for Life-support applications such as Main Bell, Wet Belland Habitat diving. Hoses and cables areincorporated providing services such as gas andhot water supply, gas reclaim, depth monitoring,power supply, communications and videotransmission. All umbilicals are of a rope liketwisted construction and are supplied with eitherpolyethylene monofilament overbraid or extrudedjacket. All design and manufacture, testing andtermination takes place in house specifically for therequired application. Cortland Fibron has a proventrack record in the supply of umbilicals to thehighest standards. Approval is available asrequired, e.g. Lloyds Register of Shipping, DetNorske Veritas, American Bureau of Shipping, etc. Diver umbilicals Cortland Fibron have many years experience in thedesign and manufacture of Divers Umbilicals for bothsurface Demand and Bell Excursion applications. Hosetypes are available to suit specific applicationsspecifically considering pressure rating, flexibility andabrasion resistance. Hoses are twisted with cables toprovide all power, communications and videorequirements and lifelines can be incorporated whererequired. Surface diving hoses - Fibroline/Fibrolite The Fibrolite and Fibroline range of sheathed lower pressure hoses are designed for use in surface dive and bell excursion applications where kink and abrasion resistance are high priorities and is particularly suited to jacket maintenance and salvage type operations. Other applications include use in breathing apparatus for use in gas tank inspections and other hazardous environments. The main difference between Fibrolite and Fibroline hoses is the maximum working pressure. Where the working pressure is within the limits of the Fibrolite range there is a considerable price advantage.
