Adjust the cunterbalance s that the televisin can be mved arund as easily as pssible but still be able t stay in the desired bttm psitin. See the Adjusting the Cunterbalance sectin n page 8. Figure 8, Attaching the Televisin Warning! D Nt Let G f the TV Until the Mtin has stpped n its Own. Psitins Munt Will Stay At The Dwn and Out Munt has a range f psitins the munt will hld the TV at. The general range is shwn in Figure 9. The munt can always stay in the tp psitin. Frm the tp psitin dwn 12 inches the munt can be set t stay but the angle may nt be vertical and the TV will nt have a wide range f psitins t stay at. The Munt really isn t designed t hld the TV in this range. Frm 12 inches t all f the way dwn the munt can be set t stay in a wide range f psitins. Depending n the weight f yur TV the range will vary. Fr lighter TVs (60 lbs and under) the munt may stay in the entire bttm range. Fr Heavier TVs (80 lbs and ver) the munt may nly have a range f abut 8 inches. Mving the Televisin Up and Dwn If the cunterbalance is set up crrectly the TV shuld be able t be lifted all f the way up int the tp/lcked psitin with reasnable effrt. T unlck frm this psitin pull ut n the bttm f the televisin. T get the televisin all the way t the bttm psitin yu may need t push dwn n the televisin. If the TV pps back up frm the desired bttm psitin, reduce the cunterbalance frce. Typically, the frce t lift the TV all f the way up is apprximately 20-30% f the weight f TV. Abve Shelf Munting T get the lwest pssible bttm psitin when munting abve a shelf, it is very imprtant that yu put extra thught int the munting prcess. The Munt can clear shelves up t 16 deep. The TV Clearance Table shws the minimum clearance [C] needed between the shelf tp and the bttm f the TV (r the bttm f an attached speaker, whichever is lwer) fr the munt t swing arund the shelf. T find the clearance needed, find the shelf depth [D], in this example 8, and g dwn the clumn and find the crrespnding minimum clearance height [C], which is 2.5. Figure 6 shws where t measure [C] and [H]. Figure 10 and the Munt Travel Table shws yu hw much dwnward travel yu will get with different shelf depths and heights abve the shelf. Fr example, t find the dwnward travel [T] when yu have an 8 shelf depth [D] and yu attach the bttm f the munt 6 abve the shelf [H]. First find the crrespnding [D] and lk dwn the clumn and find the clsest [H], which in this case is 5.75. Nw g left alng the rw and find the crrespnding Travel [T]. In this case yu will get a dwnward travel f apprximately 26. Tips t get the Lwest Pssible Bttm Psitin Get the tp f the munt and the tp f the TV t be as clse as pssible. Typically yu ll get the lwest bttm psitin by being near the minimum clearance shwn in the TV Clearance Table. Getting the mst travel pssible ut f the munt, desn t mean yu ll get the lwest pssible bttm psitin. Fr example, fr an 8 shelf, t g frm 28 f travel, t 30 f travel, yu have t raise the munt up 6.5. S yur new bttm psitin is actually 4.5 higher. Figure 10, Shelf Clearance Drawing Install Vide at www.dynamicmunting.cm/install 7
Adjusting the Cunterbalance The Munt cmes ut f the bx set arund the 65 LB TV setting and will need t be adjusted fr the munt t wrk prperly with yur televisin. T adjust the cunterbalance, turn the bttm f the cunterbalance screw with a 9/16 inch bx r ratcheting wrench, see Figure 12. This mves the Cunterbalance Blck up and dwn. The apprximate cunterbalance blck settings fr varius televisin weights are shwn in Figure 11. In Figure 11 the cunterbalance is apprximately set fr a 65 Pund Televisin. T be able t mve the munt withut a TV n it, yu need t mve the Cunterbalance Blck t the Minimum Cunterbalance Frce. At this setting it will still take 15 t 20 punds f effrt t mve the munt which is harder than yu think. Yu shuld secure it t smething t get the munt t mve. Once yu put a TV n the munt, everything will wrk much better. Figure 11, Cunterbalance Settings Detail frm Figure 6 Figure 12, Adjusting Cunterbalance Bump Stp T help prevent the munt frm ver traveling, there is an adjustable Bump Stp n the munt. The Bump Stp is nt made t hld any lad, the cunterbalance shuld be set t hld the lad when in cntact with the Bump Stp. T test this just lift the TV up a little abve the Bump Stp and make sure the munt stays in psitin. T Tighten and lsen, hld the Screw with a Screwdriver still, and use a 7/16 Wrench t turn the nut. When turning the nut, clckwise is t tighten. Adjust bth f the Bump Stps n each side fr best perfrmance. Figure 13, Bump Stp Install Vide at www.dynamicmunting.cm/install 8
Setting the Tilt in the Tp Psitin In the tp psitin the munt tilts frm vertical t abut 7 degrees (Figure 2 and Figure 3). T set the angle, put the munt in the ut psitin fr easier access and s there isn t any frce n the cam. Adjust the Tp Tilt Cam by remving the tp Tilt Adjustment Blt (Figure 14) and putting it int a different set f hles and hand tighten with ne nut. Apprximate tilt settings are shwn in Figure 15. There is a cam n bth sides f the munt, use the Tp Tilt Alignment Marks and hles t ensure they are at the same psitin. Mve the munt up and see if the tilt is crrect, if nt change the psitin f the cams, it will prbably take a few times t get the tilt perfect. If yu get a lt f resistance when trying t push the munt t the Tp psitin, the Cam is set fr t much up tilt and yu will need t lessen it. Once yu have the desired psitin, tighten bth nuts with a 7/16 bx wrench and Philips screwdriver. Setting the Tilt in the Bttm and Out Psitins In the bttm and ut psitin the munts tilt can be set Vertical +/-1 degree. T adjust, lsen up the 2 Bttm Tilt Lck Nuts with a 7/16 bx wrench. Next mve the 2 Bttm Tilt Adjustment Blts in and ut with the 7/16 bx wrench until the munt is at the desired tilt, lck dwn the lcknuts when satisfied with the tilt.
