SPECIAL EVENTS Welcome Thank you for your interest in sponsoring the City of El Centro s 2017-2018 Special Events! Community and business support allows the City to produce many family fun events for the entire community to enjoy. Since 2007, the City has coordinated many wonderful family oriented events with over 18,000 annual attendees. The events offer something for everyone; crowds continually flock to the City s cultural celebrations, community shows, parades and festivals. Within this Sponsorship Presentation, you ll find that the City has many exciting events planned for our entire community to enjoy. Please keep in mind that there are a wide variety of ways to be involved with the City s Events and all forms of participation and contributions are welcome. SPECIAL EVENT CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING & STREET FAIR What a great opportunity for our community to come together to participate in traditional celebrations of the season! Our City Mayor will lead the countdown to reveal a giant Christmas Tree covered in lights, tinsel and decorations. While enjoying cookies and hot chocolate everyone can listen to the delightful music of local choirs and performances. Santa Clause will make a dramatic appearance atop the El Centro Fire Engine and will bear gifts for hundreds of children at the event.
