There will be two shot gun starts each day at 7:30 AM and 12:30 PM. Please make a tee time for practice rounds on Friday, September 8th. Also, on Friday we will have hors d oeuvres for players and spouses beginning at 6:00 PM until approximately 7:30 followed by music by Luk Nichols. Saturday night will include a dinner for all players and their spouses followed by a dance from 8:30 to 11:30. The dance is open to all RHCC members. Brown Senior Cup Team Calvert City will be hosting the Brown Cup Senior Matches this year. The matches will be September 28 th and 29 th. We are currently going through the qualification process. Captain Bennie Brown will have a cup meeting to decide the Alternates and the final two spots for the team. Ladies Cup Matches The Ladies Wooldridge Cup Matches are scheduled September 30 th and October 1 st at Country Club of Paducah. Everyone is invited out to CC of Paducah to cheer on our ladies. In the Golf Shop We will begin receiving fall apparel from FJ, Nike, UA, Puma, and Ahead. Everything will be priced at retail, and you will receive 20 percent at the counter. All summer men s shirts will be buy one at regular price and get the second at 50% off. Buy 3 and get a special price!!!!!! All ladies summer apparel is 50% off. Ask about special prices on select golf balls. Finale Scramble Information It s time for the Scramble Finale once again. You must be a member in good standing, have played in a minimum of 10 events, and have a GHIN Handicap to be eligible. You may sign up in sun room or contact the golf shop. Your teams will be decided by a blind draw Wednesday at close of day. All (A) players will be contacted and are responsible for contacting your team and making your tee time for Sunday, the 3 rd. All tee times must be prior to 1:30 PM. Ladies Clinics We will have one ladies clinics in September on Wednesday, September 27th. Please contact the shop by 4:30 to sign up. Clinic will begin at 5:30. Cost is $10:00 person.
The weather is awesome for golf. Make sure you take advantage of the beautiful days ahead. It will not be very long before we will be wishing for days like these. 2017 Men's Member Guest Tournament We have a waiting list for this year's Men's Member Guest being held on the weekend of September 9th & 10th. If you would like to have your name placed on the waiting list, please contact the Golf Shop. FRIDAY NIGHT: Practice rounds Hors d'oeuvres 6:00-7:30 Music by Luk Nichols 7:30-11:00 SATURDAY NIGHT: Dinner/Dance for Players and Spouses - 6:00-8:30 PM Extra dinners available for $14. Must be reserved in Golf Shop in advance. All RHCC members are invited to the Dance - Music begins at 8:30 PM. Ladies' Day League The Ladies Day League will have a meeting September 5th, at 8:30, with play at 9:00 AM. The Ladies Day League will hold the Fall Tournament on September 26th at 9:00 AM. Senior Men's Golf League For the August trip this year, twelve SMGA members traveled to Waterloo, IL. to play the beautiful and well groomed Annbriar Golf Course. Congratulations to Mr. Bennie Brown for shooting a 74, 1 shot below his age and Mr. Gary James, shooting a 77, also 1 shot below his age on Wednesday at Annbriar. This trip also included a great meal at the awesome Gallagher's in downtown Waterloo. The SMGA continues to play on Tuesday at 12:00 and Thursday at 9:00. Seniors welcome!!
Night Ladies' Golf League The RHCC Night League has had a great golf season this year! We were rained out only one time all summer, and the league grew to more than 50 members with about 30 members playing each Tuesday night. Congratulations for August go to the Team of Rachelle Ihnen, Lulu Robinson, and Jane Parsley who eagled Hole No. 4 during Tuesday night play and finished with a three under par to capture the win for the week. Congratulations also go to League Treasurer Kim Denton and her partner Julia Brown who were Champions of the Night League s Member Guest tournament on August 5. Kim and Julia posted an impressive four-under-par 68 to win. We hope everyone who participated in the Night League s Member/Guest tournament and festivities had a good time. The league officers wish to thank everyone (league members, Lisa and the RHCC Staff, Kevin and the ProShop staff, Kraig and the grounds crew, and our caterers and entertainment) who helped make this year s Member/Guest a great success! The last night of the Night League s organized play is September 12, so we hope to see everyone on the course that night. Men's Steak Night - Thursdays Men's Steak Night on Thursdays continues!! Enjoy a delicious char-grilled ribeye, tossed salad, baked potato and dessert-- only $12. Great golf - Great food - Great friends!! Every Thursday night!!! Water Aerobics Water aerobics continues in September. Join Lynn Smith as she leads us through a fun and safe workout every Tuesday and Thursday morning at 10:15 AM. No need to sign up in advance - classes are on a drop-in basis. Cost is $3 per class.
Friday Night Couples Golf Friday Night, September 1st, is the last night for this year for Friday Night Couples Golf. Let's kick off the Labor Day weekend on the course with Couples Golf. Call the Golf Shop by 4:30 to sign up for Friday Night Couples Golf - only $5. Play begins at 5:30 PM. Patriot Golf Weekend RHCC is proud to again this year support the Folds of Honor Foundation by participating in the Annual Patriot Golf Day event. We are asking members to donate $1 for each round of golf played during the Labor Day weekend. All proceeds go to scholarships for the children and spouses of America's military men and women killed or disabled while serving our country. Thanks for your support. Ladies' Golf Clinic We will have Ladies' Golf Clinic on Wednesday, September 27th, at 5:30 PM. Cost is $10 per person. Sign up in the Golf Shop by 3:00 PM each Wednesday. Candidates Needed for RHCC Board The RHCC Nominating Committee is accepting names of interested members who wish to serve their club in the capacity of Director on the RHCC Board of Directors. The terms are for three years. The election is slated for Monday, October 16th. The terms of Bob Ezell, Mark Denton and Tim Kopischke are expiring. The RHCC By-laws require there be at least five candidates for this election to fill the three terms. RHCC will be hosting a social/fundraiser on Sunday, September 18th, at 4:00 PM called "Yappy" Hour -- Dogs on the Catwalk. All proceeds will go to refurbishing the pickleball courts at Rolling Hills. Stay tuned for more details. Swimming Pool News It's the official end to summer and the pool season at RHCC, and we're going out in style. We will have contests for the kids on Labor Day starting at 1:00 PM. Who can swim the farthest under water? Best cannonball? The Snack Bar will be open Labor Day weekend. LABOR DAY WEEKEND POOL HOURS: Saturday: 10 AM to 7 PM Sunday: 11 AM to 7 PM Monday: 10 AM to 7 PM RHCC members may swim at their own risk during regular pool hours when lifeguards are not on duty, but an adult must be present.
Woof & Waggle Golf Outing It's not too late to join in on some great golf and raise money for a good cause. Sign up to play in the annual Woof and Waggle Golf Outing being held at RHCC on Monday, September 18th. All proceeds go to the low-cost Spay & Neuter program.
