How to register for Swim Lessons? *** NEW NEW NEW NEW NEW NEW NEW *** For March and April Sessions Sanford Wellness Center Members Online Swim Lessons Sanford Wellness Center will offer online swim lesson registration starting February 12- March 1, 2018 for the spring sessions. On February 12, staff will be in the building to answer questions from 10-11am. Otherwise, please contact me. Please make sure the below items are up to date before you register: Email address on membership account is correct. Non-Member registration dates are as follows For March Session Feb.22 March 1, 2018 For April Session Mar. 22-Mar. 29, 2018 What are the ages for Swimming Lessons? Parent and Child Level I (accompanied by an adult): 6 to 18 months Parent and Child Level II (accompanied by an adult): 19-36 months Parent and Child Level III (accompanied by an adult): 3 years old Preschool Levels I through III: 4 years old - 6 years old Red Cross Levels I through VI: 6 years old and up Adult beginner course: 14 years and up (for adults learning swimming basics) Adult stroke development: 14 years and up (for adults who would like to develop and improve their stroke techniques as a recreational swimmer) Please note if your child is under the age of 7 the parent or guardian must remain in the pool area at all times. Thanks! Other Information All preschool levels, Level I, and Level II will be twice a week for 30 minutes. Levels III - VI will be twice a week for 40 min. All sessions are four weeks long. Students must be able to successfully demonstrate all of the skills at a given level to enroll in the next level. If you are not sure what level in which to enroll your child, please call or email Megan in the Aquatics Department at 328-1633 or megan.koepp@sanfordhealth.org. Please note that if your child passes a level, they are not guaranteed a reserved spot in the next level. For example, if you sign your child up for preschool level I in both January and February, the February reservation will not automatically transfer into the level II class. Another example is that if you sign your child up for level I in January and level II in February and he/she does not pass level I in January, he/she will not be able to advance to the scheduled level II class. Therefore, it is recommended to register for one session at a time to avoid forfeiting registration fees. Payment is nonrefundable. Please note if your child is under the age of 7 the parent or guardian must remain in the pool area at all times. Thanks! Please note that if you would like to take pictures during swimming lessons you must first obtain a photo authorization from the Front Desk.
