New Years Eve Party The Captain and Lady Captain will be driving in their Year in Office on New Years Day at 3pm. Please come along and support your Captains. The Male Voice Choir will be there in force to sing in the Captain s. The New Years Eve Party will kick off with a Champers reception @ 7-7:30 followed by a sumptous meal. A Cabaret set will follow by the fantastic Jack and Mack where Jack one of the finest young vocalists in the country will perform a set of classic hits from Nina Simone to Buble to Marley. This will be followed by a dancing to bring in the New Year in style Tickets are 30 and vaialable from Karen in the Club Restaurant or put your name down on the list in the club.
Neafsey Cup Saturday, December 27 th Kiddo Comes of Age in thrilling tincup triumph. The effervescent and affable Aidan Anderson showed his mettle in challenging weather conditions to beat fellow Metal Men and add to his 2001 Neafsey Cup win. It was the 26 th staging of the event for men and women whose Alma Mater was the National School (s) in Rosses Point. Aidan now becomes the 4 th Player to win twice joining founding member Tony Cunningham (92/11), Shane Flanagan(98/13) and Eugene Feeney (91/05) Sunday, December 28 th Team of 3, 10 holes White Tees. With the start delayed due to frosty conditions 13 teams took part in this festive Team of 3 event with the winners being Martin Mc Donnell(8) Pat Togher(17) and John Gilmartin(11) HORSES FOR COURSES!! From Ballinasloe, I am married to Una with three young boys which takes up most of my time!!. Have recently left AIB to set up an asset finance brokerage called Vendor Finance focusing on car finance and the finance requirements for SME's. I have been a member since moving to Sligo in 2005 having been a member in Ballinasloe for many years previous. Really enjoy the ability to play in CSGC all year round. I try to get out once a week and more during the summer. Best achievements include winning Michael McNamara's Captain Prize and winning four Connacht Medals on several teams. This is my second year on council as handicap chairman. My portfolio involve managing players handicaps throughout the year. There is special emphasis on Non Qualifying scores and this will be more important with the forthcoming changes to recording scores from Society golf in the New Year. 6. Just a reminder for members to return all scores to both the computer and competition box after every round and to record all away scores including society golf, team events and other non singles events and enjoy the golf and the new course for 2015
