Denplan Golf Days Summer 2015 Join Denplan this summer at our brand new Golf Days on some great golf courses in the UK. Whether you play golf seriously, or just like to enjoy time out of practice on a course, our new golf days are designed for everyone to enjoy. The day will be a pairs competition. Play will be Stableford Better Ball off a ¾ handicap. To be eligible for the afternoon competition, we will require a competition handicap certificate. However, if you would prefer a more relaxed afternoon and not be included in the main competition or you do not hold a handicap certificate, you are very welcome to just enjoy the round at our fantastic venues. All golfers will be able to take part in smaller competitions throughout the day. 4 The Mere Golf Resort, Knutsford Thursday 18th June The James Braid designed golf course is undoubtedly one of the best prepared and well-conditioned golf courses in the North of England. The 18 hole, 6,882-yard, par-71 course was created out of 150 acres of Cheshire parkland in 1934. The surrounding mature trees, rhododendron bushes and the lakeside setting add considerable charm, and provide challenging hazards on this Cheshire golf course. Water, ravines and thick vegetation have been incorporated into the layout so that care and accuracy are demanded both off the tees and on the greens.
