National 4-H Grows Campaign- It is an exciting time in National and NYS 4-H! NY is working with National 4-H Council to help fulfill the mission of growing The 4-H Program nationally and telling the 4-H story like never before! A new marketing campaign is about to begin that will offer national and local coverage about all the wonderful things that happen in the 4-H program and how 4 -H grows young leaders! When you are posting on social media about your 4-H experiences make sure to use the hashtags #4HGrowsHere, #nys4h and #TrueLeaders!! Tractor Supply Company Opportunity: Are you an active 4-Her who enjoys sharing your 4-H story to the public, explain your 4-H projects, and answer question? Are you an involved 4-H Adult Volunteer who loves to explain to others the meaning & values of 4-H and member s projects? Consider becoming a member of the ASK ME Erie County 4-H Team at the 2016 Erie County Fair. Participants will be considered a key 4-H person to help answer questions in the 4-H Barns and 4-H Youth Building. Tammi and Tessa are looking for youth and adult volunteers to join the ASK ME team. NEW Erie County Fair Entry Bucket of Junk Public Interaction Category Erie County Fair 4-H will provide a five gallon bucket of unique pieces, probably otherwise known as junk. All buckets will include the same number of items and be as close to identical as possible. You can clean, sand, glue, bolt, fasten (zip ties, wire, string, etc.), bend, paint, or finish the items that were provided. No pieces can be added Create whatever you want with the contents of your bucket. You must use all but one piece from the bucket to make your creation (but not the bucket). Rules: 1. To register you MUST use our online registration on the 4-H Website. The registration will close once 10 exhibitors have successfully registered. Registration opens June 6, 2016 at 10:00am and is filled on a first come first serve basis. 2. Ten (10) buckets of junk will be available at the 4-H office beginning June 13, 2016. 3. One entry per household. 4. The cost is $10 per participant, due at time of registration. 5. When you bring your creation on Evaluation Day, please bring back the bucket. There will be a special marked table for all entries. 6. Your creation must have attached 3x5 card explaining what it is. 7. Everyone will receive a premium and certificate for completion, no evaluation will occur. 8. Top 5 favorites will be chosen by the public during the 1st week of the fair by a ballot vote.
