REGIONAL TRAINING CENTRES There will be 5 RTC locations in 2018 as below: Brisbane Sunshine Coast Gold Coast Rockhampton Marist College Ashgrove Langlands Park Pool Kawana Aquatic Centre Miami Aquatic Centre (TBC) Rockhampton Grammar School (TBC) Focus on both player and coach development Focus on developing good training habits and core skill development Participation through an open expression of interest process. Players will nominate their preference of training location All Players 13yrs (Born 2005) 20yrs (Born 1998) eligible to participate

QUEENSLAND STATE TEAMS PROGRAM State Teams will be selected in U14 (B04,05), U16 (B02,03), U18 (B00,01) & U20 (B98,99) age groups Squads of approx. 35 players will be selected in each age group & gender Performances in BWPI Competition & Finals, State Titles, National Club Championships (where applicable), Schools Championships (where applicable) will all be taken into account when selecting State Squads Regular club coaches meetings have been facilitated to gain insight from those coaches working with and watching athletes on a weekly basis. Teams will compete at the 2018 Pan Pacific Youth Water Polo Festival in Auckland, New Zealand
QUEENSLAND STATE TEAMS PROGRAM SELECTION POLICY Selection Panel Head of Participation & Pathways, QAS Gender Coach, Head Coach What will the panel consider in selecting the final teams: Physical Capabilities Technical Competence Tactical Nous Competitive Ability Attitude and application to training Attendance Team/Squad orientation Communication skills

QUEENSLAND STATE TEAMS PROGRAM Locations: Somerville House (18U,20U Men & Women) & Stuartholme (14U & 16U Boys), All Hallows (14U & 16U Girls) Training Commitments: May-Jun (U18,U20) U18 & U20 teams will train at the same time/location as QAS to allow for athletes to work with both programs without adding to their load. May-Jun (U14,U16) Tuesday & Thursday 6 8pm Sunday 9 11am 1 x Swimming session per week at local swimming club/school squad
