Lift Passes We issue pre-booked passes at the chalet which are handed to you on your arrival in resort saving precious time queuing at the lift pass offices our prices are identical to the prices you can find in resort, and sometimes we have special offers which you can t find anywhere else so you don t pay anything for the service and convenience. Everyone receives a discounted rate where everyone skis at the child price and children are counted up to 17 old, as opposed to the normal 12 old so this is a great bargain for families with teenagers. When booking family passes, please let us know which family members belong together and provide us with dates of birth for all children. To qualify as a family, the adults and children need to normally share the same surname (although not essential if family relationship can be proven) and be living at the same address. Proof of age, family and residential status may be requested in the resort. Family passes are also available for longer durations so please ask us for these prices Free Ski Passes ** Children under 5 old and adults over 75 are free ** Children under 5 old and adults over 75 are free. If you would like us to provide free passes, then we will require a copy of the passport and a recent photo clearly showing the face a passport type photograph is ideal. Insurance with your Lift Pass Carré Neige By default we do NOT add insurance to your lift pass as most guests have better alternative travel insurance and it is not advisable to be doubly insured. However, Carré Neige insurance is available at a supplement if required - at 2.80 Euros per person per day. This does not replace proper holiday insurance but will provide some assistance in the case of an accident on the piste. Please let us know when you book if you require this insurance as it cannot be added afterwards. ESF ski school has knowledgeable instructors and mountain guides, who are able to teach from beginner level, all the way through to perfecting the skills of the expert skier - on and off piste, slalom, snowboarding, snow blading, freestyle, cross country skiing, biathlon and snowshoeing. All instructors are fully qualified and are able to teach all levels of skiers or boarders from their bases in Vallandry and Arc 2000. Not all lessons will run every week depending on the availability of instructors and the booking demand so it is essential to check with us regarding availability and to book early. Children s Group Lessons Peak weeks Group lessons in the peak weeks (Christmas & New Year, and February half term & Easter) are priced below. The lessons are taught in small & friendly groups to encourage a love of skiing through a fun packed week so your kids will progress quickly and effectively. All lessons are in the morning Whippersnappers are groups of 2-6, and all other levels have groups of 2-8 children. Ride Tribe Bombers, Rockets and Freeriders can upgrade their children s lessons to include two full afternoons with a supervised lunch. These afternoon sessions are from 13:30 to 16:30 and are full of fun-based activities. Adults and young children cannot share lessons as the teaching styles are very different and it is not productive to teach them together people sharing an instructor must be at the same level. Lesson prices are for the group specified so for either one or two people for all lessons except for the full day lesson which covers more people. Additional people can be added to the lesson by paying the extra person price for the lesson. ESF Private Lessons The ESF Instructors speak fluent English and are accustomed to working with English guests. They are available to provide a range of services from private lessons of one hour, to having an instructor for the whole week to work on a dedicated basis with your group. New Generation offer private lessons from 2 hours to all day, on or off piste, lessons or guiding, and skiing or boarding so there really is lots to choose from! Child Care Private Nanny Services There are various private nanny services operating in Les Arcs many of which are English companies with British nannies working in resort. As nanny services are a personal preference between the parents and the nanny, we prefer to leave this service to the childcare professionals and we ll leave you to discuss personally with the nanny services to choose the one you feel is most appropriate for your child. Prices for a full time nanny for a week are approximately 700 to 800 for one child the ratios of children to nannies depend on the age of the children and also the charges made for additional children vary between the companies. Our discounted rates below are for service at the local shop and are for pre-bookings only. Prices are between 40% - 60% discounted from the standard public prices - depending on the level. From time to time, the local shops may offer promotions or additional discounts and in this case we will also pricematch to ensure you have the best deal available. Gold Performance and Platinum Excellence levels allow you to change the equipment once during the week if you want to try out different skis or boards or to switch from one to the other. Please note A ski pack consists of skis, boots and poles and does NOT include a helmet which must be added separately if required.
