License: Appropriate permanent ANDRA License Required SUPER STREET (S/ST): Dial-In: 10.00-12.99 Regulations: As per Super Street regulations Description: Modified or stock street cars. May include above-bonnet superchargers. Under-bonnet factory or aftermarket superchargers or turbos are permitted. Typically consists of Super Street entrants. Tyres: Open. Slicks OK. License: Permanent ANDRA Super Street or Unlimited License accepted. ANDRA Day licence accepted for any vehicle: 12.0 seconds or slower (or 11.0 with 4-wheel disc brakes and air bags), or 10.0 seconds if car meets modern car street car criteria ie post 2008). REAL STREET (RS): Dial-In: 13.00 plus seconds. Regulations: Current WA registered vehicle (or other Australian state) Description: Muffled road-going vehicles that comply with current roadworthy regulations and must have full interior. Typically consists of standard (real) street car. Tyres: Open. Slicks permitted. Front tyres must match rear tyres: Eg. Radial to radial. Front runner to slick. License: ANDRA Day licence accepted. CLASSIC (CL): Dial-In: No qualifying time or Dial-In Restrictions. Regulations: Super Sedan, Super Street or Current WA registered vehicle from steel bumper era (no plastic bumpers) Description: Purpose-built race vehicles, Modified or stock street cars from steel bumper era. (no plastic bumpers). Typically, any Holden or Ford car with steel bumper. Tyres: Open. Slicks permitted. Front tyres must match rear tyres: Eg. Radial to radial. Front runner to slick. License: Dependant upon vehicle and expected elapsed time. Appropriate ANDRA License for any Super Sedan vehicle. FORMAT: Two Qualifiers: Three Rounds of Chicago Shootout racing Top 16 from Chicago Shootout go through to Eliminations. Each competitor will receive a minimum of two qualifiers, and three rounds of racing. QUALIFYING: Two (2) qualifying runs. Qualifying times must be within the bracket s prescribed dial-in. Otherwise, the qualifying times shall be excluded. Low ET qualifiers in each bracket may have first option on bye runs in Chicago Shootout. CHICAGO SHOOTOUT: Three (3) three Chicago Shootout runs. Each round is split seed. That is, there is no draw. Pairings are as competitors come through the staging lanes. Pairings are considered final once competitors have reached the staging lane ropes and confirmed by staging lane officials. Once competitors have moved in front of the staging lane ropes, that is considered to be a pairing. If a competitor fails to start once in front of the ropes, the opposing competitor shall be on a bye run. Bye runs (held as final run of each session): o Only if there are an odd number of competitors for that round o Each competitor can only receive one (1) bye run across all three rounds. o Bye runs are in the following order of priority: Top Qualifier; Second-top Qualifier; and Third-top Qualifier Perth Motorplex Ph: 08 9419 6622 Page 2
MAKING IT TO TOP 16 FOR ELIMINATIONS In order of priority, competitors with: Three wins from Chicago Shootout Two wins from Chicago Shootout One win from Chicago Shootout No wins from Chicago Shootout Tie Breaker: To separate competitors with same number of wins, those competitors with the best package from their final Chicago Shootout round will be deemed the higher qualifier. FAQ: What if I turn up late, say 3pm, and miss the first Chicago Shootout round? Answer: You will be behind the eight ball, but you can still have a chance of making the Top 16 for Eliminations. Eliminations shall be a seeded field. That is, during the burnouts, Race Control shall issue seeding sheets to staging lane officials. Eliminations Seeding Sheets shall also be posted to the Holden vs Ford Facebook page under Facebook > Perth Motorplex > Events > Holden vs Ford FORMAT: SUMMARY Qualifying: Top Three qualifiers have priority for bye runs in Chicago Shootout. Outside of top three, there is no advantage in qualifying order. Chicago Shootout: Win as many rounds as possible. In a competitor s final round, the best package (reaction time combined with difference between Elapsed Time and dial-in) shall be used to determine highest qualifier in case of a tie in points. SCRUTINEERING: SCRUTINEERING WILL BE HELD IN THE GREEN SCRUTINEERING BUILDING0 Non- permanent ANDRA Licenced Vehicles: All vehicles MUST go through scrutineering prior to any racing. Group 3 Vehicles: ANDRA Group 3 racers WITH A LOG BOOK are to collect a Competitor declaration form from Scrutineering (the smart ones would have downloaded one off the website!), complete it and return it to the Scrutineers before racing. The Scrutineers will randomly select 10% of the vehicles for an audit (scrutineering check of vehicle). Will be randomly audited (10%) as per ANDRA s Extended Scrutineering Program. ANDRA LICENCE HOLDERS: ANDRA license holders (no matter what class you are racing) you must use your ANDRA licence number. Please cross out the T number on your entry form and insert your ANDRA number. INDEMNITIES: All racers, officials and crew must sign the indemnity form before going onto the track. Any persons not wearing the correct colour wristband will be asked to leave the hot area. STAGING LANES: Overleaf you will find the staging lane allocation for today s event. QUALIFYING: Qualifying will go from 1pm through approximately 2.45pm. Do not sit in the pits* as you will miss out on Chicago Shootout and Eliminations. This is bracket racing, the staging lanes is the place to be, make sure you stay with your vehicle at all times while in the staging lanes. DIAL-IN s: REMEMBER TO LOOK AT THE SCORE BOARDS BEFORE YOU STAGE TO MAKE SURE YOUR DIAL IN IS CORRECT. Once you stage you have accepted the handicap and the outcome of the race will stand.
