Melbourne Regional 5 Star Chamber Golf Challenge The Melbourne Regional Chamber is proud to announce their third annual 5 Star Chamber Golf Challenge event, scheduled for April 28 th, 2017. Last year Key Individuals came together to raise over $19,000 to support the Chamber. An additional $4000+ was raised for 13 deserving Brevard County charities as part of this event. As a Chamber Member, you have already shown your commitment to the growth of both the business community, and the Melbourne Region. This event presents a unique platform to allow you to step up and identify yourself as a Community Leader. By participating in this event, you are not only supporting the ongoing efforts of the Chamber, but you are giving something back to the community, all while having fun during the evening hours on the Duran Golf Club Par 3 nine hole golf course. The event is designed around three basic principles: 1. Allow individuals or corporations to raise funds for a Charity, Non Profit, or Program of the player s choice within the county that is in need of assistance with operations or projects. 2. Allow individuals or corporations to support the on ongoing efforts of the Melbourne Regional Chamber and their efforts to help businesses thrive in our county. 3. Allow participants to participate in a fun, outdoor event with other Community Leaders. The basic outline of this event: This event is a 50-hole golf marathon to be played on the Duran Par 3 Golf Course, and is limited to only 28 participants, called Key Individuals. These Key Individuals can play in the event, or identify a golfer to participate for them in the event. The event will offer a fun and challenging evening of golf, contests, food and beverage for all involved. There is no charge for the Key individuals to play in this event! The Key Individuals will support the event by committing to raise $1,500. This could be done by recruiting a minimum of 30 people to sponsor them for as little as $1 per hole played (a $50 pledge). The Key Individual understands that of the $1,500 they commit to raise, 20% of the funds they raise will be directed to a Brevard County Charity or Organization of their choosing. With this commitment, the Key Individuals will enjoy the following: 50-hole Golf Marathon with Electric Cart on the Duran Par 3 Course. A return green and cart fee on the Duran Championship Course. Food and Drink complimentary during your Golf Marathon. Prizes for a variety of fun challenges & game plays including a Hole in one contest to win a year golf membership at Duran Golf Club. Recognition for your efforts on the Chamber Website and at a Chamber Breakfast. Does the Key Individual have to pay to play? No. With a commitment to raising at least $1,500 in contributions, the Key Individual does not have to pay anything out of pocket for this golf outing. They also receive: Food and Drink complimentary during the 50-hole Golf Marathon. Prizes for a variety of fun challenges & game plays. Recognition for their efforts on the Melbourne Regional Chamber Website and at a Chamber Business Breakfast. What do I get for my donation? As a supporter of the 5 Star Chamber Golf Challenge, you receive recognition on the Chamber website, and you have contributed to the betterment of your Brevard County community. What s the minimum amount I can pledge? Really any amount, but we would really appreciate a $1 per hole contribution to our efforts. Does my pledge have to be in specific increments?
