Beverages: Alcoholic beverages & containers are not allowed at the park at any time, this includes the fields & parking lots. Glass containers or bottles of any kind are prohibited. Coolers, Funnels, Kegs and Party Balls or anything fun is also not allowed on the fields. You are required to keep all sports drink & beverages in bubba kegs or thermos bottles. Clear or see through cups are not allowed, please purchase solid colored solo cups. Anyone in violation of the beverage policy will be asked to leave the premises immediately and may be suspended for the remainder of the season. Your team may suffer a game forfeit. Other Activities: Due to general safety and liability reasons; no other sports may be played at a WAKA permitted field just prior to or during the games. That includes Sparklers, Flame throwers, Molotov Cocktails and anything else you can think of! Trash: All trash must be picked up before leaving the field. Trash cans are available throughout. In the event that there are no trash cans, you must provide a bag for your trash. Facilities: Porta Potties are located at the front of the field, please use those to go to the restroom. Do not do your business in bushes or in the open. You may get a ticket and we may lose the permit to use the park Parking: Players and visitors must park in marked or approved spots. Just because we have a permit to be there does not allow us to break the law. week TWO RECAP WEEK ONE FRIDAY September 30 The friday night lights brought out lots of color, sports drinks and jello shots. As the kickballers arrived so did the rain, but that didn t slow us down as the first games of the season got underway. There were winners and losers, but by the end of the night everyone was winning. Now that everyone has figured out what to do, we can look forward to what week two has to offer. Let s do this! POWER RANKINGS Sting Conference WEEK ONE FRIDAY September 23 Ballsagna Took the smile off Kick Tease s face and put they Balls on them. 8-0 shut out may have Ballsagna as the team to beat right now. The Foot Clan Took down the Homeplate Hustlers with ease. Productive offense and some very good defense helped them cruise to the win. Big game this week versus Ballsagna. Can they make it two in a row? Kickheads I guess last week s loss had them pissed off. They came out firing. A 12-0 shut out of the Rubber Busters? Wow is the first word that comes to mind. Look for the Kickheads to build on this and pick up a few more. Homeplate hustlers Lost a tough one to the Foot Clan but plan to bounce back by minimizing errors and pouring on the runs. Every day they Hustle. Bunt Cakes Came up short last week against Ballsagna but probably learned a lot in the loss. Numerous new players picking up on how kball is played will have this team producing wins in no time. Kick Tease Couldn t make it two in a row this time but are ok with being 1-1 at this point in the season. Don t expect them to be teasing around next week, they will be fired up and ready to produce a win. rubber busters Not one rubber was busted in the making of this 12-0 beat down. Were the Rubber Busters even there? Maybe they let fourth string play this week. That had to be it. Highly disappointed in this crew, they will get back in gear and get some wins soon enough. That Pitch is a Bunt They don t love no Pitches and decided to shut them out! 5-0 win has TPIAB on the right track for the season. Big game next week against bright color rival HH. Can they make it two wins in a row? Ray Conference Saved by the Ball Is this the Cinderella team for the season? Seems so, mostly rookie team out to a 2-0 start. Can they keep the dream alive? Rubber Balls & Liquor Did anyone else see those fresh Mango s logos? Looking good RB&L and off to a 1-1 start with the least runs allowed amongst the 1-1 teams. This team seems to be the defensive specialist. What are they doing that everyone else isn t? Maybe it s the Mango s logos. i m kick james pitch Ok so they lost but they still wasn t taking no shit!! When asked to comment on what happened in the loss, I m Kick James.Pitch said they didn t really want to win last week as they wanted to make this season somewhat of a challenge. They also said F*%k yo couch SBTB, we ll see ya in the playoffs. Whether or not most of these comments may or may not have been made up is for you to figure out. Local Skanks The Locals get the win and tell the townies to get off their wave, this is their turf. Look LS to build on this, keep the wins coming and protect their hood. recess renegades With 15 people over 40+ and proud of it the Recess Renegades are sitting pretty at 1-1. They said because they are older, they by default are wiser and will be figuring the game out and taking you all DOWN! Watch out for RR because it is not Rest and Relaxation but Recess Renegades!!. all my pitches loves me Being shut out by TPIAB did not have their spirits down. AMPLM was at the bar getting down!! No loss will slow their roll. Look for AMPLM to bring this intensity to the field next week and steal a win. Rarr I m a Dinosaur Looking good all Pinked out with the Pink bandannas, Dino names and of course their Pink shirts. Unfortunately they were unable to produce a win but plan to break out their Velociraptor skills and start WINNING! Red Balls & Vodka Lost a nail biter to the Locals that could have been due to a lack of focus. Next week RB & V plans to focus more on the Red Balls and less on the vodka and get the win. *These are opinionated rankings that may or may not match true league Standings. Victorious Secret, Drunk Pitches, Kick Butkus, and Kickheads multiple seasons no championships yet, but it s close, I can taste it! What do you think about your WAKA experience thus far? Love it- I ve met a ton of great friends! It s always great to see people s reactions when you tell them you play in an adult kickball league. Who are some of your favorite Athletes?
