Dear Masters, Coaches and Athletes, It is my pleasure to invite you to the 1 st Smoky Mountain Taekwondo in Knoxville, Tennessee. The event will be held Saturday, August 18 th at the Knoxville Convention and Exhibition Center. Credential pick-up and weigh-in is on Friday, August 17 th from 6-10 PM in the host hotel, the Holiday Inn Select Downtown. We will be utilizing 6 fully matted rings with electronic scoring in every ring. We will have International as well as National Referees. In addition to Olympic style sparring we will also have forms competition. For every school that pre-registers 12 athletes by August 1 st 2007 we will be providing one complementary hotel room. Rules: Modified WTF Rules will apply. Two points to the head and one point to the body in all divisions. All belts ages 13 and below will have light contact to the head. Black Belts ages 14-17 and senior divisions will follow WTF rules. Competition will start at 9:00 AM with Poomse followed by Sparring. To avoid unnecessary delays and late fees we require pre-registration. All registrations must be postmarked no later than August, 13 th 2007 to receive the pre-registration discount. We will only accept certified checks or money orders. We will also accept cash the night before the event. Enclosed you will find information for the tournament including registration forms, directions and hotel information. All competitors must be registered by 10:00 PM on August 17 th 2007. HEREBY AGREES TO INDEMNIFY AND SAVE AND HOLD HARMLESS the release and each of them from any loss, liability, damage, or cost they may incur due to the presence of the undersigned in or observing, or working for, or for any purpose participating in the event and weather caused by the negligence of the release otherwise.
