From the Desk of our Principal Dear River Springs Gators: As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday, it reminds me of how thankful I am to have the opportunity to work with a wonderful community of learners. Our students are excelling in so many ways and I am grateful to our parents, teachers, and community who support our children every day. The first nine weeks of school yielded some wonderful accomplishments! Honor Roll Students by Grade: Straight-A Students by Grade: 6th 204 6th 81 7th 145 7th 8 8th 168 8th 21 I am excited to share with you our new Vision and Mission statements that were adopted and approved by our School Advisory Council: Mission: At River Springs Middle School, all students will move forward career and college ready. Vision: River Springs Middle School will provide an inclusive school community committed to academic excellence. We are committed to providing your children with the best education possible. As a community of learners, it is important for all of us to take part in the education of our children. With this in mind, I have dedicated several evenings in which to provide parent/ community Curriculum nights. We had over 50 people at our last event, Steps to Success. I hope as the good message spreads, that more parents and community members will attend future presentations. Together, we can achieve great things! -Mrs. Gotlib, Principal 5
